I was disappointed with Helo in tonight's episode. He should have let Starbuck kill boomer, after all boomer told him that the baby was part of the cylon plan. I hope that they don't kill him off next season by having him give up his place on the raider for pregnant boomer. I feel sorry for Helo - he's been manipulated by the enemy, but his moral code STILL won't allow him to kill a pregnant woman. I just wonder how 3 people are going to fit in that raider.

I will kick myself if Helo gives up his place yet again for someone undeserving. It would be great to see him back on Galactica and confronting the other boomer.

It would be fun to see him square off against Tyrol aswell over the whole boomer relationship situation.

The Galactica will need a new raptor pilot, Helo's the man. Racetrack or Crashdown would make a good sidekick.

POSSIBLE BLOOPER MOMENT
In "Water" it is more-or-less established the Galactica has 5 operational Raptors (5 go on missions to seek water-bearing planets after Adama wants them all "in the air")
Since then, we've only ever seen 3 Raptors operating at a time.
In "Kobol 1", 3 go to Kobol. One is destroyed, one is downed, one returns (theoretically leaving 3 operational Raptors).
THREE then go toddling of the the Colonial One.
ONE simultaneously goes to Kobol to deal with the Baseship.
That makes six...
So, either the Galactica has more than six Raptors (one down for repairs during "Water"?) or we have a very small flub.

I know everyone is rushing on a post-BSG high, but am I the only one who thinks it was a *bit* of an anti-climax?
I mean it HAS to be continued for a second series, but if it isn't, it's a cr@p ending..

I reckon there's plenty of raptors. Look at how many helicopters one aircraft carrier can carry. Just because a handful are airborne does not mean the fulll compiment is in use.

I just have to ask this- how the hell did only 50,000 members of the human race survive and yet a great member of the bloody press core as well? I mean I get how but dang..how annoying. -Shawn They were on Galactica for the Decommissioning ceremony. Sorry- going vaguely off-topic for a moment, but bare with me and I'll be done soon enough. So far, all the media types we've seen have been semi-serious news types. Am I alone in thinking it could be entertaining to see someone a little less 'newsy', the BSG equivalent of our VJs? Or maybe someone like a former teen celebrity who was somehow trying to use the decomissioning ceremony to sashay themselves a new TV deal? I honestly have no idea how this would be incorporated into an episode (unless they wanted to do a slice of life type thing) it was more just a random thought I had. Of course, I need to point out this would only be cool as long as it wasn't used as a chance to shoe-horn a tacky guest star into the show as a ratings hike, but I really don't see that as being the kind of thing that the show would do as it would hardly seem to fit the ethos of it all.

If this goes to a second season I could see it breaking throught like the X files into the mainstream. If this happens then we'll see a lot of big name actors trying to appear. Look at Scrubs.

I mean it HAS to be continued for a second series, but if it isn't, it's a cr@p ending.. Well, they've got to do one of two things - go out in such a way the network will demand more on the grounds of audience, or tie everything up "just in case". It will be annoying if the show isn't renewed, but all told, I'd rather have what we have here than them leaving us with the majority of the story threads neatly cropped "just in case". Remember, JMS was eventually forced down that road for Season 4 of B5 & then when it was renewed for a fifth season, he had no story to tell, so we ended up with a VERY mediocre final season. All told, I thought this was an excellent ending. Full marks to Eick and Moore for telling a story and leaving us slavering for more. Woe be to the network if it isn't renewed
