Yes, Roslin could be implanted with a Cylon chip. Or she could be a Cylon. Or should could be hallucinating from kamala extract. I see no strong evidence for any one possibility. Roslin is convinced by the similarity of her visions and the legends, and you argue this similarity suggests Cylon meddling, but it could be that she's getting a bit carried away. Exactly, Roslin is on a power trip she is convinced that she is the chosen one and that she must fulfill her destiny. I do not believe that she is a Cylon just because of that fact that she is acting so very human.

I have suspicions about Elosha's role in all of this...
The Pres may be on a power trip but it's certainly not unassisted...

Ok where to begin........ Wow what a way to end a series, that is the biggest cliffhanger ever - how many loose threads? OMG please let there be a series 2 My quick thought on the shooting: Is Gaeta a cylon? we saw him reach out to shake Boomers hand but we couldn't see the shake happen - did Gaeta give the pistol to Boomer? The pistol certainly wasnt the standard issue pilots pistol that we have seen Helo and Starbuck carry in this episode (although it was the same type that Boomer shot herself with?) Just a thought - but Gaeta was acting strangely throughout the episode? Second thing - how much do you think each episode costs? If it came down to it I would break into every bank in central London to finance a second series - come on Sci-Fi please confirm its going to happen! What the hell am I going to do on Monday nights now? ?

You, know ashoka1 , when someone grows up in a communist country, one finds your avatar totally repulsive. This is hardly the right thread to discuss this, the topic is "Ep 13 - Kobol's Last Gleaming pt 2 - UK" if you want to discuss something else perhaps you should do so in another thread or forum, if i where you id even consider a personal message instead of an open flame bait attack. Personaly i think the Cylons are behind it, they are doing everything to realise their own religious dream.

Gaeta always comes up as a Cylon plant, mainly because he's probably the most expendable under the main cast (although I would miss his character). I still hope that it doesn't turn out any main characters were cylons from the start. If it turns out someone from the main cast has been _replaced_ with a cylon that opens up a whole new can of worms "body snatchers" style and would just be annoying and lame. The only hard budget figures I've heard for BG is that Sky commited US $400,000 to each episode. You figure Sky might be willing to cough up an extra $100,000 for season 2 with the success of the show (especially if second season of Hex bombs). I'm guessing the show is probably in the $1 to $2 million per episode range. They may save up some of the money for big FX episodes (like Bastile Day compared to The Hand Of God). Before Sky committed SciFi had almost dismissed the show due to the budget so it's definitely up there....

A quick aside with regard to the Raptors - Whoever designed them really messed up - twice we've seen crew injured (Helo) or killed (Raptor 1 Pilot) from shrapnel/bullets penetrating the bottom of the Raptor
Tyrol really needs to do some reinforcement work when he gets back to Galactica

Perhaps the Cylon transponders allow the Cylons to amplified and project images of themselves. That is how Leoben could be in Roslin's dreams and Shelly Godfrey could be on Galactica one moment and gone the next. However, I also think that the priest is steering her in the direction that she needs to go in order to fulfill prophecy and filling her head with delusions of grandeur along the way.

Had a crazy thought about Shelly- if you were a Cylon and had gathered some data on your prey but had no way to communicate with the "collective" well then wouldn't the best way to do be to "kill" yourself? Is there any way Shelly could have tossed herself out an airlock or something like that?
I'm just not convinced the Six in Baltar's mind can communicate with the "collective"...
As for Elosha- my curosity lay in what part the drug the Pres is taking that we know causes delusions is being used to influence her with the assistance of the Seer who appears to be guiding the visions...after all Elosha seems to foretelling things just before Six does..
As for Gaeta- we had the same thought about the missing handshake. Curious.

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the future baby in the crib is the product of a Baltar-Six union to come, and not Helo-Boomer.
33 (from memory) Six: "I want us to have a child" Baltar "You can't be serious..."
Aha...

Near the end Six says"The first member of our family will be with us soon..."
Who is she talking about? With Adama's apparent death (let's face it, it's hard to believe he'd survive those close range shots) it could be said that she is talking about him, and that his memories on Galactica will be downloaded to a new body on Kobol to meet with Baltar and Sox....
(I truly HOPE this is not the case. I still think the lamest thing that could happen to this show would be if Adama had been replaced as a cylon).
Is it possible that Six is talking about the first "sentient" cylon? You would think there was a "mastermind"/"commander" that unified the cylons initially. Maybe this is their "God"....
Otherwise, I'm really hoping that the cylon "quest for God" turns out to be a pathetic attempt at them trying to be more human and that they end up deluding themselves. After all that manipulation behind the scenes on Galactica and everywhere it would be very satisfying if they were deeply flawed in this way...
