Could they be setting up RIchard Hatch to become the President if she dieds of Cancer?? Seems to me that could be the case, they have him set up, now its just waiting for the right time to spring the new Prez

WOW- you might be right. Hatch has definitely changed his view towards TNS. And to have him on as a regular would be so cool. But I would want McDonnell to at least be on the show for a few more seasons & Hatch appearing as a guest star until he replaces her. KR

If there is any contract problem it could come to pass.

Not gonna say anymore than what I post here, but I just read the synopsis for Episode #11 on SKY Guide.
And it’s gonna be interesting, considering what this thread is about.

He wasn't too fond of the Singer/DeSanto production either.

Keep in mind that Richard has not been in any really big hits, movie or TV. He might jump at the chance of being back on BSG again. Getting a paycheck from week to week again, just might be very nice. I think he will be back myself. I would also like to see Starbuck#1 make some sort of return to Galatica. He was really cool in the first one.

I've long suspected Hatch's ascention to the presidency (shades of Nelson Mandela) as a story possibility. KR may remember some older threads at other boards where I've commented on this.

God I hope not. He's really not that good an actor, as evidenced by his handful of bit parts over a 25 year career. After the slagging he gave the mini and everyone involved in it I wish he hadn't been offered a role at all. Moore should have simply told him he'd talked himself out of a job.
And Richard, if your listening, Brad Pitt on 'Friends' was a guest star. You as 'man who saw a crime (3 lines)' on Hill St. Blues or whatever is a bit-part. Glad to clear that up for you.
To clarify that last. Richard claims to have guest starred on numerous shows. Of course to be a Guest Star the audience would have to first know who he is.

He was very good in 'Bastille Day', I would have no objections to him playing the part.

Besides, we've only seen a couple of months in the NuBSG timeline, plenty of oportunity to expand on this story line, which has plenty of opportunities to be interesting, considering Roslyns life expectancy, which in itself could contribute to it.

Actually he did superbly in Bastille Day. As a fat bloke myself I can tell you its hard to suck a gut in while sitting down - not without having to adopt a squeaky voice at least. ;D

I think he did great in Bastille Day. This series is alot differtent then the first one. Better everything. I think he will be back, they have him setup to come back. I feel it will happen soon.
