I have absolutely no doubts, in fact, I would be shocked if the show was not picked up for a second season. The ratings are great, even better than expected, the press is very favorable, and people are tuning in to see what BSG is all about and they are staying. SG-Atlantis is the best lead in for BSG, Sci-Fi Friday is a hit! You know the old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

While I have no faith in studio executives doing the smart thing or even the right thing but I think this is a no brainer and even Universal Executives can get this one right. ;D

I hope it'll happen, but I always expect the worst. Dang, I've never been this into a TV show since "Gunsmoke" and "Alias Smith and Jones" eeeeehhhh well, the reruns of those two shows, anyway.

Sources from SyFy Portal had reported that a pickup was almost guaranteed as long as ratings for the fourth episode -- "Act of Contrition" -- didn't plummet last Friday. The episode didn't plummet ... in fact, the ratings actually are up over the previous week's episode, "Bastille Day."

A decision on whether or not to renew "Galactica" for a second season is expected to be announced sometime Tuesday or Wednesday. The first season has 13 episodes, and six scripts for a second season already have been ordered by NBC Universal. Some rumor reports still have NBC itself interested in adding the show to its schedule, even if it's rerunning the first season over the summer.

Don't just look at the ratings look at the quality. They will be dimwitted if they cancel this ...... than again they have shown to be just that in the past ........

When my gf goes to the temple I will let her pray to Buddha to grant us a second season! I will ask her to have the abbot pray for it. So I'll cover that one ....
