Can you confirm that Ty Olsson is truly in this, or are you grabbing this from galactica.tv? Ty hasn't been seen in action since the mini. Connor Widdows only post-mini work was "Bastille Day".

The more I am looking at the pictures on Gateworld the more I am wondering as to how this episode will be. With all the shots of them walking on green lawns and stuff .........
Is it a spaceship they are on? Or what ..........
Waerth ..... on his way to get 40 posts

I think it's the Intersun Liner they're on. You know, the big posh one with the circular ring bit (gosh, my descriptions are SO good...). There's a whole gardeny vibe going on the middle of it. I think that argument was had on another thread somewhere...

IMHO not the greatest episode so far, but it did make some very relevant points in regard to everyday life aboard the fleet while there is no economy.
Did anyone notice the bottle of Jack Daniels over Zarak’s right shoulder while he was serving Ellen Tigh? The continuity editor should be shot or something.
I had the feeling that Baltar wasn’t alone in the bathroom, although I had thought it was Six with him. I like the idea of his exclusive……..
But new Vice President, oh my word.
I’m personally interested in Blade Runner’s views of Starbuck when she was “scrubbed up”.
And even more interested to his views of their being two of #6 on screen at the same time.
Oh, and the last scenes in the show, oh my God.

Good episode over all I thought. Not quite as action packed as the last ep but just as good IMHO. Nice to see some-thing interesting finally happen with the Helo\Boomber thread! Still can't figure out where the're going with it tho. One thing - Why did six tell Baltar to second the motion to elect a vice prez? and If she'd wanted him as vice prez why didn't she tell him to stand straight away?

Overall a good ep. Again, it's good to bring up what is happening and what and will happen in a society with no currency economy.
I also liked the fact that Number 6 alludes to the fact that she could kill Baltar at any moment simply by inducing a heart attack. She kinda has him by the metaphorical balls there.
Helo's realization is quite realistic in the fact that he just legs it as soon as he clocks what Boomer is. Thats probably what I'd do!
P.s- Does anyone else not get slightly annoyed that the opening credits shows whats going to happen in the episode?

You're not alone. Do they really need to do that?

If u havnt seen it and don't want to be spoiled dont look ---------------------
--------------------- 1st off i missed the 1st 10 minutes but I did enjoy the show
I did yeah but I love jack so ill let them off.
That was my initial thought when roslin was discussing the candidate i kept shouting baltar knowing how much 6 would love for him to have power that big.
Also great ep for Richard Hatch and i'm looking forward to seeing how his relationship with tighs missus will develop i think possibly she had valance (i think is how u spell it) killed, the Helo/Boomer stuff really good this time (grace park wet - allways good ;D ) And I liked how he finally put the pieces together.
But i have to say i was surprised with the exterior shots of the Intersun Liner I thought it looked very bland and the white dome was unconvincing - it could have been better but all in all thats my only major gripe.

One thing - Why did six tell Baltar to second the motion to elect a vice prez? and If she'd wanted him as vice prez why didn't she tell him to stand straight away? The way it happened Baltar came to the rescue of the president, saving her from Zarek being her VP. If he had put his name up first she might have seen him as a threat, although not as great a one as Zarek. If Zarek really did not kill the would be assassin I wonder why he wanted to know about him. Was it just because Apollo mentioned his name.

The most poorly-conceived and executed episode so far. While it does make valid points about the nature and structure of Colonial society within the fleet (or at least Tom Zarek does very briefly), outside of the Helo/Valerii situation on Caprica, the storyline here is ultimately transparent and weak.
Specifically:
* There has been no real sight nor sound of the Cloud Nine (admittedly a wonderfully-ironic name) in the fleet until now - and this is being passed off as being because she has been "under repair".
* "Wallace Gray" is allegedly the power behind Roslin's throne, setting her agenda and policies, overseeing the distribution of food and medical supplies - essentially performing the role of her Chief of Staff / right-hand-man yet never once has he been previously mentioned or seen!
*Further, Wallace Gray is so clearly a plot tool - and a badly-handled one at that: first he doesn't want the VP nomination, but accepts because Roslin needs him; then when asked to step down, he comes off in an embittered huff (presumably never to be seen again).
* Zarek's challenge for the position of Veep is an obvious construction to lay the path for Gaius Baltar to become the Vice President.
* It is surprising that, after her somewhat vicious words to him in Six Degrees of Separation, Roslin can face off with Baltar without so much as an apology for past actions.
* It is equally surprising that Baltar's ego doesn't offer greater resistance. True, she is to a degree panderin to his desire to be back in the limelight - but given his nature, such an open "forgive and forget" doesn't entirely sit with his nature.
*The above is badly telegraphed almost as soon as Thrace visits Baltar in has lab at the top of the show (following the opening titles) to inform him he has been selected as Caprica's representative in the Quorum.
*The intrigue around Valance and his gun, etc., is heavy-handed and comes across ostensibly as padding for a storyline otherwise short on action.
There is still some excellent acting in the episode - especially where Baltar is concerned (his interview with the press and particularly his "Exclusive Interview") in the toilets), but this still doesn't compensate for the rest of the time spent on Cloud Nine.
Not even the supposed "intrigue" surrounding Valance's death - and Ellen Tigh's possible role in it - fails to fire on all cylinders.
Opposing this is the Helo/Caprica storyline which beautifully encapsulates all we need to know and feel:
*Valerii's attempt to probe Helo about his feelings, using his "replicant" theory *Valerii is showing more symptoms of being pregnant *They reach Delphi and the chance of a ship off the planet *Helo is suddenly - and quite unexpectedly - confronted with Valerii's true nature.
This is excellent stuff, but amount to less than 10 minutes of screen time, and again, isn't enough to lift this episode.
Still, every show tends to misfire once or twice through the course of a season - some managing to do so a lot more frequently. We're fortunate that this is the first - and hopefully only - hiccup in what has otherwise been a highly-successful first season.

All valid points...but i have one quick question as most people will be reading this thread. I missed last weeks ep (Hand of God) due to unforeseen circumstances.
Is there anyone, or any way I can get a hold of this episode? I would be really really greatful as its the only one i've missed. Ta
