WOW!!!!! Those sound like brilliant openers. ;D ;D ;D No mention of Starbuck, though. Wonder how long she's going to be stuck in that little menage a trois with our Helo and preggers Boomer? I happen to know a viewer (mentioning no names) who has been complaining about the lack of Cylon action, meaning the "real" Cylons (his words, not mine) i.e. the metalheads with their blinky red eyes. But if episode 2.02 is really going down along those lines I suspect my friend won't be the only person who's glad to see some big time toaster action.

I have a strange feeling that there might be a mutiny of sorts in store for Acting Commander Tigh. We know he's not particularly popular with the crew. With the old man effectively removed from the equation, the squadron and possibly the deck crews might decide to go bust out their CAG...in their minds having an Adama in charge, any Adama, could well be preferable to Tigh who is still a drunk in most people's eyes. But would Apollo take it up? Oh, the intrigue! Those tidbits are very cruel. VERY cruel. Is it July yet?

There was classical stringed music playing at the dinner in Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down.
They've mentioned Pyramid, and we've seen them playing it (cards is I think a common pasttime on military vessels anyway, since you can gamble on it). Let's hope they DON'T mention Triad...
You're right, season 2 is going to be brilliant. And some Cylon cultural insight would be great too. What do Cylons do for fun other than hurl darts at photographs of former Human slave drivers?

see, I convinced you, clip shows are good, but they have to have their own plot, to carry the flashbacks. Just having flashbacks for no reason (ie. that example of the TNG episode) doesn't cut it. I can go along with that.

That's a valid point, MrNiceGaius, but not always the case. I'm thinking of a particular Trek episode (TNG) called 'Shades of Grey' which was basically a clip show yet also served the double boredom whammy as a pointless filler episode.
Of course I can't image BSG doing something like that (the gods forbid...) and it'd be interesting to see a show that can actually integrate such an episode into the overall story arc. I'm afraid I can't comment on SG since I never get to watch it (the guy who controls the TV only permits one sci-fi viewing a week, y'see...)

I DOUBT Battlestar will have that problem, especially because they can do an entire ep in sets with NO CG whatsoever if they need it, they are masters of having people stand around and talk, how much does that cost? Still more, alas, than just replaying already filmed stock footage.

If they could put my cause of death down as combustion due to EJO then I'd die happy.

Um, I wouldn't want to be an extra. Never mind the fact that I have a hideous face and the acting ability of a burnt pancake. I just know if I was in a scene or hell, on the set, with EJO I'd end up rugby-tackling him to the ground and the poor guy'd have to spend the rest of the day sort of dragging me around because I'd refuse to let go of his leg.
Lords of Kobol, I am SUCH a sad groupie... ;D

Any particular reason why cylons did not just infiltrate the colonies and start having kids? Before long (a few generations) everyone would have cylon "blood". Why wipe out the 12 colonies in that case? They would have taken over the colonies, effectively. That's a good point, but I think other than the general idea of exterminating humans, the Cylons were out for revenge from their years (centuries, whatever) of servitude. Quietly infiltrating and taking over just doesn't pack the same vengeful punch as nuking the place flat and then hounding the survivors, does it?

That's true, CylonGod, but how far would the fleet (especially the senior personell) be willing to trust pretty much anything she said? Especially considering the- ah- events at the end of season one on the Galactica!

That'd raise one hell of a moral issue for the fleet if such a situation arose. If they know the reason for the sudden increase in the hounding/chasing/general risk level for the fleet is the baby, logic (cold and cool) dictates that you either dump the kid or kill it and dump it, but certainly get rid of it somehow. Brutal, but if it's fifty thousand odd people against one baby, even a half Cylon, half Human one...cue lots of angst, methinks!

Actually, he's probably right. I lamented about not having a tv in my dorm room when I lived on campus. I had the luck of quickly making friends with a few girls that did. (Dating myself a tad bit here...) We used to get together on Monday nights as a group in this one girl's room so we could watch MacGyver! Ah...riiight. Not sure about the MacGyver, but if nothing else I can pretend to be a Jamie Bamber groupie and maybe some nice ladies with Sky will let me join in. Unless there are EJO groupies already on campus, of course, in which case I'm made! I've said this before, but i don't think they should make the Galactica a hatchback. One of those 3-door Ford truck bodies would be nice... Dear oh dear oh dear...

Nah, the campus accomodation has no such stuff. You get a computer connection, but there's no way I'm paying another £25 a week for a premium room with all the other trappings. I love BSG, but not +£300 a year!!!

Waaah. That's a bummer. I won't have Sky (indeed won't have a TV) once I go off to university and I was hoping I could get at least some of my season two BSG fix before I go in September.
