Since we have people from all over the planet on here I thought I would see who's drinking what. I'm a Canadian so I'm probably drunk right now right? Micro Breweries are very popular here. I'm a Sleeman's honey brown ale Fan, even better on tap. English / Scotish / Irish brew is top of the list for me to. Only served in a pint glass. OZ has a pretty good beer called Victoria Bitter. The stubby bottle it comes in is pretty classic. ......and when working in the garage on my wife's van or my car I'll swig on some MGD ( Miller) - Straight from our friends from the south. I can count on it being tasty and not getting drunk on it, which is a good thing if i'm putting on a timing chain or lord knows what else. ;D

Is John Courage still around? We used to be able to get it here at the pubs. Not for a while now though Tartan is another I forgot about or Kilkiney (sp). Yeungling Black & Tan? Is that the same as a Tanner and Black or Black and Tanner? ( Bodingtons suspention with Guiniess on top)? Looks cool but take a heck of a long time to poor and after you take a few swigs the seperation is all messed.

I drink Slovenian beers: Laško and Union. My favorite is Union 1864. I'm American, and Union is more like American beers (that is to say, tasteless), so I like it more by default, but I'm trying to develop a taste for Laško, which is more of a flavorful and bitter beer.

I favor the IPA style, preferably with Cascade hops. Like Liberty Ale or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Same concept, except its done in a bottle and its all mixed together, I think (I'm not one to frequent pubs - I can't even have one drink and still be coherent enough to drive. My tolerance is very low so I'm a bit of a light weight! So that's the only way I get it.)

Guinness is my favorite, but I only drink it occasionally because I hate spending that much on beer, and I get really drunk on it. Most evenings, I have a Michelob Amber Bock, maybe two.

Guiness (Draft in the US market) has less alcohol by volume than Budweiser draft.
The stuff in the bottles on the other hand, quite a bit more.
Black and Tan, the oldest version I know was Harp and Guiness. Marketing changed it to Bass and Guiness fairly recently. Boddingtons? That is an English Bitter? Or a closely related ESB?
I seem to recall that the name Black and Tan is an insult directed at the uniform colors perhaps of English troops, or maybe just local cops in Ireland.

Boddingtons is an english bitter hybrid with one of those widgets inside to give a creamy head (did I just say that ) ESB is a draft bitter, but can't remember the brewery name. Horndean's HSB or Abbot's Bishop's Finger are the ones I look out for, failling that, Courage Directors is the next best thing. I don't like the pressurised bitters too much. I drink Guiness or Murphy's in downmarket establishments (), it's hard to fuck up those drinks. Good ale needs a diligent landlord, otherwise you may as well poor it on your chips.
