Are they broadcasting them encoded for 5.1? If so, I'll have to make sure my system takes advantage of it.
If not, Dolby Pro Logic surround will have to do I guess.

Ahhh, I guess I'll just have to "make do" then.

I watched the mini on NBC for about a half hour, then bought the DVD the following day and was up until 2 the next morning listening to the comentary track. I'd forgotten how much I liked the show over the past year. The deleted scenes are pretty cool, too. It's retailing most places for under $20. Definitely worth it.

Seems that us Brits have missed out again pf It seems so I got the mini-series DVD from play.com ( 8.99 ) and It's 1 disk with sod all extras (other than the low down) Any chance of us in little old blighty getting the 2 disk version?

Yes, there is. I got a copy from Store4DVD.com. I think it was available at other places but theirs was £15.95 and they sent it out pretty quickly.

My friend in NYC just reported that he got the 2-disc edition up there; anyone else picked this one up?

I've picked up 3 copies so far 1 from Best Buy here in Central Illinois, 2 from Amazon. All of them were the 2 disc edition.
I'm thinking the 1 disk edition is more rare than the 2 disk.
