after watching ep 12, the scenes ran during the credits showed a destroyed Basestar so my theroy isnt going to pan out...(awww....)

I just rewatched part 1 (twice) fantastic - cant wait for next monday!
Revised my theory now - no Pegasus for now I guess (boo) but from the preview of next weeks episode we see a shot of what looks like a basestar blowing up as well as shots of a raptor flying toward it and a shot of the pilots (boomer + girl from the infamous shooting Adama picture)
I can only gues that they play a major part in the basestars destruction and when they go to the bridge to be congratulated by Adama _ Boomer shots him _ roll credits _ is he alive or dead
roll on season two and season one on dvd

I've just had a suprising thought. Do you think maybe some of the pre-release screenshots were made deliberately to fuel speculation about the cliff hanger? That would be cool. on edit: for 'made deliberately' read 'faked'. they were all made deliberately  |

They definitely mixed the screenshots between episodes 12 and 13.
I do like how the screenshots of Starbuck make so much more sense now. Before it seemed like she was on Kobol and that she was separated from the group that crashed. Somehow Helo ends up on Kobol.
It does make you wonder if the shots of Adama/Boomer were either completely faked (for the sake of spreading misinformation about the true cliffhanger) or if they're shown in such a way that's it's not quite what we think....
Anyone have any other ideas on the Tigh/Apollo screenshots (Apollo holding a gun to Tigh's head and then in handcuffs)?
Next week can't come soon enough.....

No idea why Apollo would be holding a gun to Tigh's head but I think it's fairly obvious why he's in handcuffs afterwards...I think trying/threatening to shoot the XO is probably enough to get you in hack on the Galactica! Maybe there were heated words exchanged about who's a Cylon? Hmmm. But it'll be good to see some kind of real interaction between Lee and Tigh whatever the plot call. Thus far they just seem to bumble along together in a fairly civil but undynamic manner. I'd like a follow-up to the scene in the mini where Tigh orders Lee down to the flight deck- got a funny impression of a mischievous sort of air in that. |

Just throwing another couple of possibilties out there....
How about the last shot being a big 'reveal' of another one of the 12 cylon models
Maybe Roslin......
Or maybe there will be something on Kobol (that our hero's might miss but we will get to see) that will set things up nicely for the next season - maybe a carving or picture on or near the Athena that will be of the cylons (human forms)

I think it's safe to say that there will be some kind of cylon revelation. Since only 4 models have been used so far, I think it's reasonably safe to say part of the cliffhanger will be another cylon model being introduced... With that said I really hope it doesn't turn out to be a major character on Galactica. This would probably include the "revelation" that Galactica was somehow "guided" along by the cylons from the beginning (which cheapens the miniseries and the whole show IMHO). Maybe the revelation could turn out that Helo himself is a cylon? That would put a total twist on the Caprica "experiment" that was being conducted..... imagine Helo running away from himself....  It's fun to speculate... |

I'm kinda amused by the idea of Starbuck and Helo being all 'must hurry to Galactica, must tell everyone Boomer's a Cylon' and then them getting there and everyone just being totally 'We know!' and totally accepting Boomer's Cylon-ness, while she dances 'The Robot' in the background. I feel I'm most likely alone in this though *sigh* Oh the pain of being a lone visionary  |
