If it was green, Mrs.Tigh would be airlocked.(no bad thing imo) Baltar has a sado streak, he wants the command structure to suffer for his 62 year work detail

Any idea why Baltar has decided that all tests will be "green"? That seems absurd to me. Doesn't he want to live, and to escape the Cylons? Baltar can't "escape from the Cylons" without literally cutting off his own head. ;D

Oh man! More questions And another excellent episode. I, for one, thought EJO did a fantastic job behind the camera with this one; the tension was perfectly built throughout and nicely balanced by the nervous humor. Is Ellen a Cylon? She's certainly horny enough, and curious enough about Adama's flight plans. Could this be the next Cylon model? It seems odd that the Cylons would make 2 models so similar (saucy blondes), but who knows. And once again there was far too little Caprica, but at least we got some sort of development this time. Personally, I can't wait to see Baltar go completely off his rocker. It was also nice to see that tension still existed between him & the president after 'Litmus', as I know some feared that plot-point would be glossed over. Anyway, 3 whole weeks....oh well. You guys will keep me company, right? Right?

Heheh yes, the scene with Starbuck walking in on Baltar was amusing, particularly the killer lines: "Is there something I can do for you?" "Uh, you can do your flies up..." Although as far as the humour went nothing could possibly beat the look on Apollo's poor little face when Ellen went for gold with the footsie thing. I thought he was going to die. Then I thought I was going to die- laughing, that is. I know the feeling. So many TV shows just go for the 'new episode, everyone move on' approach in that respect. But BSG seems to be keeping up an excellent running continuity so far- things like the fact that Starbuck still walks with a limp, the scratches on Lee's face from Bastille Day taking a few eps to go, etc. And I agree with the comment about Baltar being 'noticeably' mad. I mean, how dense ARE the Galactica's crew? The marines on guard should surely have noticed the fact that the man tends to have lengthy conversations with himself. Then again, maybe they just put it down to him being an intelluctual or something... Does anyone else hope Mrs Tigh meets a sticky end, though? I mean, how annoying can one woman GET?

There still seems to be some confusion over the title of the episode, Sky One are calling it, Tigh me up, Tigh me down. www.skyone.co.uk/programmes/battlestar/The Radio Times have changed their minds no to

[rant]The show is going down so fast that I can barely believe it. It's a real shame as it started out as one of the best scifi shows I have watched.
The writers only 'idea' at the moment seems to be 'hey, lets bring another cylon aboard instead of moving forward with the story'.
Nothing happens, episode after episode all characters act like blind morons and manage to avoid the obvious conclusions.
For love of god.. Adama a cylon? Because another cylon said so, gimme a frelling break.
On the east front we can now safely add Helo to the list of people who should have figured out that Boomer ain't human by now.
*smashes head to the desk, repeatedly* and will you please kill Baltar already? *frustrated scream* [/rant]

It's all so easy to say that especially being a viewer of all the scenes. You have to remember each character has a subjective point of view.

Even after taking that into account, there are several characters (most of the main characters actually) who have had plently of hints that Baltar and Boomer aren't allright.
Considering the stress and the constant cylon thread every human should be quite paranoid by now. Yet, even the president seems to fully trust Baltar.. even though she felt in her gut that he was the traitor barely couple eps ago.
In this episode we see more Baltar monolog/air groping in the midst of all main chars, from the previous episodes we know that he talks aloud and acts like Six would be there in flesh.. and everyone again somehow manages to ignore this.
And what's up with these 'I wish I had feelings' cylons? Six weeps because she can't feel love? But she can obviously feel sadness? Some major programming screw up?

Yet, even the president seems to fully trust Baltar.. even though she felt in her gut that he was the traitor barely couple eps ago. But he was later pronounced innocent by the president in a public news conference. My theory is that they've gained these emotions as a "side-effect" of becoming humanoid, and are struggling to understand them and cope with them. Hence their experiments with Helo on Caprica, and Six's involvement with Baltar.

Ugh...I'll be one of the voices of decent here...I HATED this episode. I can't stand Ellen and the sooner she is sent to Keep Leoben company the better. I can't stand her, and no, not in the "oh she's bad" way. Her character annoyed the ****out of me every second she was on screen.
As for Baltar being wacko...Adama is a smart man who has dealt with smart people before, he would require Baltar to train some assistants. Military people are all about redundancy.
For the record I voted this ep a 2. I hated it.
I'm glad everyone else enjoyed it.

I think that was the general idea ;D Trust me....thats not what they intended. Like I said....I want the character off of the show, never to be heard from again.

I think that was the general idea ;D I'm kind of rewatching it in the background while I have dinner and check email, and she's annoying me so badly I'm turning it off. I made it to 28:07 before I just couldn't take any more. I think whoever said it wouldn't bear up under repeated viewing is more than right. The addition of that character seems superfluous, irritating, and miscalculated. If she's central to the rest of the season, and if this is the new tenor of the show, I'm going to be pretty rueful about it. It'll probably tank in the last half if that's the case, and when people get sad about it, it will be because the first half was so good and the show had potential, not because the whole thing rawked. S.
