If I saw Baltar spinning in his chair looking like he's crackers, I'd be drinking a lot of what I assumed was bloody absinth in that green bottle. I think I'd jump ship and take my chances with the Cylons. ;D

Excellent episode! I so cracked up when Starbuck walked in when Baltar was rather ....busy.....lol
and GO ON Col. Tigh! i really find his character really impressive and yet hes so fallable but he still does his job as XO
but what the hell was the raider going pretending to be damaged?? then going for the ramming action! and what happened to the point defence from Galactica? i guess that raider was repairing itself when it knew it couldnt FTL out of there. Once it had full power it went for it for the ramming action.
Ohhh i cant wait for next monday..i need my next BSH fix!

Whoever voted '1' must have been watching Coronation Street.
Great comedic episode especially when they all come clean about accusing each other ;D

Yes, but Im glad they kept it from becoming a bit slap stick. They maintained a good amount of humour and kept it tense. The dinner scene contained some real tense silences, but where Mrs Tigh tried poking her toe up poor old Lee`s nether regions, kept the scene from becoming stale. I think Mr Olmos did a top directors job there.

unfortunatly i didnt get to see much of it as i was babysitting my sisters kids but what i did see i loved and holy crap how good was the caprica bits my buddy helo seems to be in for a treat lol - anyone complaining about the lack of mechanical cylons i think myabe silenced, the baltar stuff was (what i saw) was fantastic) and I really enjoyed seeing tigh's charecter get a bit more screen time and the stuff between appolo and tighs wife was very well done. Also have to say the viper stuff was an absolute joy (currently im watching through the original series for the first time) I can't wait for the the re-run of the ep.

Lots to like in this episode, although I think we could have had a perfectly good series sans the slutty wife of poor old Tigh. She seems like a waste of bandwidth with everything else going on. You just KNOW that she is going to boil someone's bunny at some point, but really, WTF? Who cares? Can we do something more cool? Probably. Baltar has completely lost it. Why would he keep Helen's cylon status a secret? It's totally irrational. If he greenlights someone who turns out to be a cylon after all, he's going out the airlock, end of Baltar. Seems like he should screen and then train a team of techs to rotate in for him instead of just going absolutely mad. Not a fan of the new storyline, gotta say. If Starbuck ever lets Baltar lay a hand on her after seeing him hump the table in full flagrante, I'm going to be appalled. Also, Six seems to be a Roman Catholic. As far as I know, they're the only Christians that separate sins into mortal and venial. Could be wrong about that, but I'm about 99% sure. Would have loved to have seen more of the Caprica storyline, it was disappointing to get so little when there was clearly so much going on. Tricia Helfer is amazing. That scene where she's trying to conceal her pain and envy about the love Helo has confessed for Sharon under a mask of contempt and nonchalance just blew me away. Absolutely blew me away. Anyone who thinks she's just here for the pretty is going to have to give her mad props by the end of this series, it's clear. I'm starting to think she's the best actress in the joint. Speaking of pretty, I liked seeing Adama smile. Speaking of not pretty, I did not like the image of Tigh, Baltar, and Helen having a threesome. What a train wreck THAT would be. Looks like the Cylons want to destroy the Battlestar Galactica after all, viz. the suicide run by the "crippled" raider at the end of the ep. I thought the lover's lane with the waiting line was kind of sweet. Presumably necessitated by the fact that finding a quiet little out-of-the-way spot for making out and related activities is harder now that security is tighter. Speaking of related activities, if my grandmother could have seen Helen's high-bar swing of her thighs over Tigh's shoulders and the proximal suggestions relating from said activity she probably would have fainted dead away. There has been more booty in this show so far than in the entire Red Shoe Diaries. I think I'd be uncomfortable letting a child under the age of 16 watch it, to tell you the truth. But I'm an Amish Hassidim Baptist with a real morality fixation. Well, not really. But still. If everyone starts having the same kind of monkey sex that Six and Baltar are always getting up to, this show is going to have to move to Skinemax. I will not complain about that if Crashdown is still involved. Speaking of Crashdown, where the hell IS Crashdown? It doesn't look like he's appearing in any of the rest of the episodes, via IMDB. It's too bad that Ambrosia is currently more commonly known as a really fracking awful fruit salad with marshmallows, because it's a lovely name for a drink that makes grown men do wrong things. Someone mentioned absinthe... But it reminded me of Midori, mostly because a) Midori is bright green and b) Midori was a co-defendant in some of my more insane moments of dancefloor glory in my early 20s. Other green liqueurs and cordials: Creme de menthe Chartreuse ;D Apple schnapps Pisang Ambon Of all of these, I think Midori has the best color, though Chartreuse is a big favorite of Poppy Z. Brite's for its purported aphrodisiacal effects. I like Chartreuse because it can't decide whether it wants to be peppery or herby until it's about halfway down your throat, and then your head explodes. Kind of. On the other hand, she's obviously deranged. Absinthe it is. xo S.

After watching it again, I don't think it will stand up to repeated viewing like the rest can.

After watching it again, I don't think it will stand up to repeated viewing like the rest can. I think that's absolutely true, if for no other reason than the fact that so little really happened. It's going to be a slow week on the board after an episode with so little actual content: Sharon and Helo ran, but nothing was seen or said or evinced of a strategic nature. Tigh's wife is a boozy psycho and a hoochie mama and possibly a Cylon Baltar is completely off his rocker and is no longer making active intellectual decisions, which kind of just makes him a time bomb instead of a character Tigh and Adama have a bond which is greater than the psycho (hopefully). Other than that, I didn't see anything of an intriguing nature. I suppose we could talk about whether or not they're all going to get even more paranoid about each other, but since we've thrown the Cylon detector plot device to the wind, if that happens then pretty soon this cast is going to look like a bunch of dinner theater actors boogling at each other at a How to Host a Murder party. Pretty disappointing on that end. But I did like the close angle shots that EJO was using, especially in scenes with Inner Six. I loved how she kept kind of coming out of Baltar's head, that was damn clever and he should be pleased with himself for thinking of it before all the other directors. xo S.

I'm putting this one down to being it's first season. Didn't do much for me.
Yeah there was humour, but I was more interested in the sub lines, Caprica being one of them.
One thing that's going to turn this into the x-files for me, is this Baltar's "did they/didn't they" pass the cylon test. (not in a good way, I went off the x-files when it became clear it was going to be a Twin Peaks wind up).
Babylon-5 took time to mature with me, I got fed up with the internal bickering and cliches. I really hope BSG becomes more than that. The whole what is/are the cylons has been absolutely intrigueing so far. Getting a pissed femme fatale (is she/isn't she) into the mix is going to turn this into a soap opera IMO.
The mystery will only last so long, so I really hope the cast/plot settles and we see some combat. Some tactical situations, rather than some bizare mid-day soap love triangles.

Any idea why Baltar has decided that all tests will be "green"? That seems absurd to me. Doesn't he want to live, and to escape the Cylons?
