Just wanted to say thanks for a well monitored board. I was a longtime poster at the Sci-Fi board before I finally became fed up with all the clones, TOS and TNS bashing, acusations and infighting.
All I want to do is discuss a show that I love with likeminded people. Of course, occasionally we may disagree with the intentions or actions of TNS or TOS creators but I highly doubt we will ever fight on the levels that I have witness over there. Thank you for providing me with a refuge and a new place to call home.

Yep- Skiffy will let anyone post as it is rarely moderated.
Here there won't be the stupid debates, but intelligent conversations about TNS & TOS.
I rarely post on Skiffy anymore unless it's a news item of interest. I just don't have the time for all that nonsense.

Just wanted to say hello and compliment the site. The majority of the posts are interesting and it is one of the few sites i have come across that actually discusses the show and doesn't resort to threads criticising either the new show or the original just for the sake of it.
Even though i like the genre (brought up on a diet of Star Wars when i was young) - I don't watch a lot of sci-fi. However, i have found this series to be a surprise. It has a dark and edgy feel to it which is complimented by good acting. The series had definate promise - so here's hoping for another season!

This is a bit belated, but hello, all. I looked at several other BSG forums and even registered at a few, but this is far and away the best I found. Intelligent discussion, cool people, and a noticable lack of trolling, flaming, and general unpleasantness. Now, if only we could get a few of the Powers That Be to hang out here, this place would be perfect!
Sigh, I miss the SlipstreamBBS...
