Everyone is off to watch the new episode, but me, because my dad's going to arrive home in fifteen minutes and he watches the show, so we have to tape it and then watch it later, once it's finished

The story gets a whole lot funnier though. My newish tape that I'd put Colonial day on was used for some other show by my parents. My dad, yes the one responsible for me having to tape in the first place decided, without asking me, or telling me that he was going to lend this tape to a friend of his. I discovered this at about half seven tonight. I run around the house to find another tape and finally pull out an old one. I give it a test run on the simpsons and it records and plays back fine. So. I'm set, right? Not so much. I get through most of the episode, I'm fast forwarding past the final ad break, I see Moment of Silence promo so I stop fast-forwarding (our vcr fast forwards crazy fast). No sound. Okay, I think, perhaps it's just taking it's time kicking back in, but no, there is no sound on the final segment of the show. So yeah, not a happy bunny right now. And now I see I have to wait until Saturday? Someone tell me there's an earlier repeat I missed

lol I had a bad time last night taping Peacekeeper Wars i put in the tape rewound it and my brand new VCR Chewed the dam thing up!!!!! so had unhook it - get the tape out, put it back together and find a new one!!!!
It's all good I only missed the first 10 seconds, which will do until the DVD comes out.

Oooh, and by the by how is Peacekeeper Wars? I still haven't seen it; didn't actually realise it was on >__<
Awww; I just noticed- you changed your avatar. I'm kinda saddened as you were the only one with your old one. Not that individuality is necessarily good. I'm the only one with mine and that sucks. I never should have sacrificed so many colours to cut down on the file size.

I wasn't saying I was the only one with their old one. I was saying I was the only one whose old one sucks because they dropped half the colours out to try to reduce the gif size because they're a fool. But I have a tendency to ramble so apparently my point got lost.
And here *pins a medal to your chest*

Well, currently, I may be able to get to see it on Thursday as my dad knows someone at work (may or may not be the same someone who he lent my tape to, didn't ask) who may have taped it. Unfortunately, they're not in today, so it'll be tomorrow before he asks.

Darnit! Dad's home and he hasn't got the tape with him. I half expected him to have been less than truthful about his friend not being in today and for him to have already phoned so he could get the tape today. *sigh*

Right, so apparently, the person that we were hoping had taped it hadn't, so it looks like the Saturday rerun it is. Saturday when my parents will inevitably be watching a DVD on the only TV in the house hooked up to a Sky box. And I'm not going to have my tape back, so I'm going to have to ferret around for another old tape and put my faith in that not just wazzing up part way through. *headbutts the desk* I'm sure I'll get to see it some day
