At one time, back in the way back (November or December 2004! ) we had a thread about people's weekend plans. I couldn't find it (maybe it got axed in the last purge or I was looking in the wrong spot), so I'm re-starting it. What's everyone doing this weekend? I'll be on the road again, as I've been for the last 2 weekends. Tonight after my husband gets home, we'll hop in the car with sonny boy and head out again. Tomorrow's a busy day; we have eye doctor appointments (our eye doctors are family friends), then my husband has a fantasy baseball league meeting, then we'll head back home. I'm planning to hit my favorite fabric store on Sunday or Monday to take advantage of a weekend sale. Not too glamorous, but it'll do for me.

I've got to help friends move on Saturday. I guess it's fair since they helped us when we got our new place. Saturday night is BSG TNS night here in Canada, so I'll catch that at 8:00. On Sunday, I'll be going to the Fishing Show in Toronto to buy a whole bunch of stuff I probably don't need, then I'll come home and catch the Daytona 500. Sunday night I'll be playing hockey.

I will be stripping wallpaper off the walls in one of my bathrooms. And chauffeuring my 7-yr old around...he has a science class at the university on Saturday mornings, an intensive baseball batting clinic Sunday afternoons, and a tennis lesson after baseball. Such a fun-filled weekend! Woohoo.

MarkusB: Happy Birthday!!! Have fun punishing your liver.
Calli: Wall paper is my nemesis. I hate it. We removed wall paper from 4 of the rooms in our first house (the one we just moved from last August.) The house was built in the fifties and they wallpapered EVERYTHING back then - or at least they did in that house! Even the closets and ceilings were covered! Are you using a steamer or one of the chemical removers? I've used both. No matter how you slice it, its still a pain. Hopefully it isn't many layers and doesn't have paint between layers.

Probably a movie on Saturday (Maybe Constantine). Might hang out with my brother and watch Daytona 500 on Sunday. I don't really "get" the appeal of racing but my bro is into it. Other than that bum around the homestead probably. Good luck on traveling, chaufering, wallpapering, moving, and liver damage everyone.

Thanks ViperPilotMomma. Roner- Good choice if you go see that movie. I want to see Constantine as well - looks great, but hoping it's not a copy of the Matrix

Unfortunately, I deserve this punishment since I'm the nincompoop who put the darn paper up to begin with. Never, never, ever again will I put up wallpaper! Luckily, this is the only room with wallpaper. I'm using a steamer. I've tried both ways, and I found the steamer to be just slightly more effective than the chemicals. But not much. It's a sucky job, but somebody's got to do it. Hey MarkusB...happy birthday. Hope you're not suffering from an atomic hangover!
