I'm guessing it wasn't even entered for consideration (a voluntary process), as there was no series in the US at the time, and Skiffy would not want it to be seen as a 'British' show by being nominated for award for airing in the UK, thus potentially irking fans here. Then again, they could just be morons who think Stargate is better...but I somehow doubt it.

I'm guessing it wasn't even entered for consideration (a voluntary process) I doubt the question of entering it or not even entered TPTB's heads. The qualification criteria seem to be airing/exhibition in the US between Jan 1 and Dec 31 2004. As far as these awards are concerned, overseas airings don't appear t count.

Perhaps it was considered Horror...as a Thriller of sorts, it could possibly qualify...but, yes, I think this one is the least sci-fi/fantasy/horror of the bunch. Matt Damon The Bourne Supremacy Near-future technothrillers do indeed count as a subset of sci-fi, even if the near future is next week. Much of Clancy's work qualifies as either sci-fi or as alternate history. Johnny Depp Finding Neverland Freddie Highmore Finding Neverland Peter Pan was indeed fantasy, this is a movie about the writing of Peter Pan and its production as a stage play. There are fantastical elements in the movie. Would a movie set during the filming of the original Star Wars that had lengthy special-effects sequences that were trips inside George Lucas' mind to see what he was really thinking at the time be considered sci-fi?
