Just wondering if the Sci-Fi Channel is the only one that ever did 3 back-to-back sci-fi shows in a row on one night: namely, the two SGs and BSG on Friday night. Actually, there will be 4 sci-fi shows as Andromeda starts up with new adventures this coming Friday. This might be an all-time first in sci-fi tv programming, guys. KR

I read somewhere that if Sci-Fi did not start being Sci-Fi that it would soon find views leaving it for Spike and Stars Extreme, which tend to show a lot of Sci-Fi. Perhaps this is their answer to the critics who say they are not showing enough Sci-Fi, regardless from 8-11 on Friday night I see no reason to change the channel.

KR Do you mean new shows or r-runs? And I've got to ask which season of Andromeda will they be showing?

KR The Scifi Channel has been doing over 3 different shows on Friday nights for years. Spike has a 5 hour block of Seven Days, ST: TNG & ST: DS9 for about a year, but that is really 3 shows. For a short time Showtime had three scifi show on Friday night.

But they have not all been sci-fi. Let's see- there was Poltergeist: Legacy inserted with Farscape. Plus they had some other horror shows inserted with fantasy ones. I also recall Black Scorpion & The Adventures of Jules Verne too. Those would hardly be sci-fi. Fantastic yes- but not sci-fi. I don't think Sci-Fi has had 3 back-to-back real sci-fi shows on, ever. And if you now count Andromeda: four! KR

KR Odd programming for a channel named The Scifi Channel. Only one night with 3 science fiction shows, is nothing to write home about. If the people behind horror.com and over at Viacom make good on plans to bring out a Horror Channel and a new science fiction channel, programming could get competitive, and better.
