I just watched the deleted scenes from the mini and I have to say that in my mind they are now part of the mini. They were some key scenes that tie into the story and I am sure because of time they were deleted, but they should not have been.
The only one I would dismiss is the extended Apollo scene when he shoots the missile before it hits Colonial One, I like the version in the mini better.

Any chance you could give us a rundown of the deleted scenes? Sure I did not want to spoil it for anyone so be warned S P O I L E R S These are the ones I can remember I will add the others when I get home. 1. Roslin meets Billy for the first time just after she learns that she has cancer. He comes off as sort of a dork. 2. Dee and Billy have an extended scene in the head where she explains the uni-sex bathroom and the first rule is not to stare. 3. The Galactica jettisoned all its ammo and detonated it, which is why they had none onboard. Adama gave a speech about how a ship is born when it fires its guns and dead when those guns are silent. Tigh announces "Galactica leaving the fleet." And Adame detonated the ordinance. 4. Boomer is shown crashing before she has the fight about the gimble with the Chief, which is why she was so mad she almost died. 5. The crew is shown discussing the Chief and Boomer 6. Cali confronts the Chief about Boomer. The Chief grabs her and tells her that they may all be dead tomorrow. 7. Different scene when Starbuck first engages the Cylons, scene in mini is better. 8. Extended scene of Apollo landing where the PR guy talks about why Vipers are not fully automated, every sensor can be jammed except for the brain. 9. Billy and Roslin have a talk where he discusses military tradition and duty and a way to get though to Adama. 10. Boxey is given a bed and asks if the person who had it before him is dead. The Cheif says that the Galactica is a good ship, a lucky ship and she always lives through a fight. That is all I can remember I will check when I get home, but anyone feel free to add to this list or extend on what I have already said.

Thanks, much obliged You are welcome. Will you be getting the DVD soon because I really just summarized them, I think these scenes were very good and I wish there was some way to put them back in for an extended version ;D. Some of the shots had incomplete CGI footage, which I thought was cool.

I don't think it's out over in the UK yet. There's a 'vanilla' no feature type version, but I think that's it. Not sure. When it comes out and I can afford it, I'll pick it up.

I aggree with the apollo scene, however i would have enjoyed seeing colonial one "rescue" Apollo
I think the Starbuck scene takes place after the nuclear attack on Galactia just after Colonial one is attaked and I think it would have been nice to see it in the mini.
I like the PR sene about the vipers, i think that they could have intregrated that really nicley into the mini.
My favorate deleted scene though is Boomer's crash on the flight deck, it makes combat landings look clean

I really liked the deleted scenes between Roslin and Billy. Especially the one where she chewed him out and he stood his ground. Too bad they couldn't have left that one in.
Another thing I liked about seeing the deleted scenes was when they showed the Apollo using the moon to divert the Cylon missle and they showed it in rough form (with the cruder animation effects and all the "green screens" and all) it demonstrated very clearly how the actors have to deal with acting around blank screen and props (and how complicated the fitting together of all these elements really are to give you a spectacularly smooth effect as you watch the finished product on the screen).
;D

So at least they are all not a total loss.

Yes- the moon scene was good, but really stretching it. I mean, that would have been a 3-4 minute sequence with just one missle. I think it would have been more effective if a Cylon raider was pursuing Apollo than one lone missle. Still, in retrospect you can say a whole mess of things! KR

I wish the scenes of the deck crew discussing Boomer and the Chief “The groping light is on.” were in there along with Cali confronting him. Nevertheless, as I said these scenes (and the others) are now included in the mini in my mind they did happen and are canon, IMO.

The obviously what you need to do is buy a U.S. DVD player as well so you can buy the U.S. DVD.
