I think in a lot of peoples eyes 1.09 was a lemon of an episode...Sorry, I can't stand it. I doubt it helped 1.10

I think I'm in the minority of people who liked 1.09. I thought it was well directed and as funny as it was (deliberately by the writers and cast), every character was so serious, it was even funnier.
It's a welcome break from the constantly tense and depressed atmosphere usually there. It's also technique used in the past, notably well done by Babylon 5.
Either way, it is good to see BSG's ratings so consistently good for a cable scifi show.

I like the Humor in B5; between Ivanova, Londo, G'Kar......and yes Kosh

Bear in mind that ratings are completely arbitrary and untrustworthy. In fact, the only real reaosn they exist is because they are an economic unit and there is no better system.

According to my Sci-Fi source, they are neck-and-neck, so they are viewing the ratings as comparable for both shows. It will be interesting to see how 1.11 does. Should have the figures later today or tomorrow. KR

Yeah, I should have added that in those two weeks when SGA beat BSG, it did so only by a margin of 0.1. When BSG most recently beat SGA, it was by 0.2. So really, yes, they're tied....at least for the most recent weeks for which the info is available.

Shaun will be revealing his ratings info on lvrocks.com this Wednesday night. Hopefully, it will not clash with the one posted at fleets. I am holding off on reporting from my Sci-Fi source until after Shaun's show. KR

OK- here's the most up-to-date ratings on BSG. A definite upward trend heading toward the median 2.5 HHR seems likely:
1.01 & 1.02- 2.6 1.03- 2.3 1.04- 2.5 1.05- 2.5 1.06- 2.5 1.07- 2.2 1.08- 2.5 1.09- 2.1 1.10- 2.2 1.11- 2.3

A steady climb back up toward 2.5. This last Episode will do the trick I'm sure!
