why would you report them - how pathetic. Don't feel sorry for universal, believe me, I've worked for them.

You must not enjoy the show that much if you don`t want it to have every chance of a second series..... pf

1.) Universal made it's own problems for itself by making the decision to not have a broadcast at the same time. 2.) It's easy to sit in the UK getting the new episodes and hold your position. 3.) Nobody needs a boyscout running around "telling" on everybody who does anything they don't approve of. 4.) The sorts of numbers that are downloading the show aren't going to affect the mass ratings when a show goes on a prime time slot in the US. 5.) When people commit acts like copyright infringement in public, they take their own risks. Do it long enough and there are usually consequences.

Why worry about it? Universal or its agents will inquire eBay about the identity of the seller so they can sue them. Besides, why would anyone want an incomplete BSG season 1 set with the "SkyOne Exclusive" logo shown throughout the episodes? I'm sure you will see eBay auctions for episodes after the SciFi Channel airs it stateside (with the "Sci-Fi exclusive" logo shown instead). If they used the cheapest DVD blanks or made VCD's with cheap CD blanks, how many times would you be able to play the disc before it starts losing quality, parts of scenes, or become unplayable? Just wait for the official DVD release and have a DVD set that will last for years with deleted scenes and commentary extras. Can watch/rewatch your "personally recorded" vhs tapes, tivo, or dvd recorded discs in the meantime. Could always buy the region 2 DVD's when they come out, some episodes are already available for sale/presale in England. You just need a region-free or region 2 DVD player to view/play them. The U.S. DVD releases usually include a lot more extras, so many fans decide to wait. Buying legitimate DVD releases is one of the best ways to show support a show you want to see continued for as many seasons as possible. The number of DVD's sold and how long it remains in the top sellers list may show either a strong or weak interest in the show. Some cable companies know and record what percentage of viewers are watching which station and publish local overnight ratings (if not made public then are privately made available to cable channels for a fee), so watch the show when it airs. Those numbers may be more useful and accurate than Neilson ratings and may influence the renewal process. ;D

Buying legitimate DVD releases is one of the best ways to show support a show you want to see continued for as many seasons as possible. Too true, I watch the show on TV on is regular time, download the show, burn to VCD, and then buy the DVD's. See I can have it all. ;D However, no longer do you have to wait years for your DVD's I bet BSG season one will be out before fall 2005. So downloading and saving to VCD is sort of a waste now, when before I had all the DS9 episodes on disk for years before they released the DVD's.

All I can say is that the frackin' moron that would report said pirate (AARRGH) should be ejected into space from the frackin' airlock. GEEEEEZ, what are we, the Gestapo? I personally don't get into downloading & pirating but who gives a frack? Universal will make a pile of cash from this in the long run!!
The idiot who's that STUPID that they would put a pirated disc on ebay will get caught, 'cause they're too STUPID not to!

What was the pirated disc of? i clicked on the link and it came up "Invalid something or other..." and said that it was longer available. i'm guessing it was either the mini or TNS or both.

They were just copies of digitally recorded BSG episodes that were burned to DVD. Nothing you cannot do yourself in two weeks.
