A couple questions

Greetings folks.

I just started watching this new series of BSG a couple of weeks. So far I've enjoyed it, however, I am still somewhat lost on a couple things.

First, can someone tell me what the story is regarding Boomer? I see her on Galactica, and also on that planet with that other guy. Is the Boomer on Galactica a Cylon? What's the story on Boomer and that guy (who is he, by the way?) on that planet trying to outrun the Cylons?

Second, I take it that a Cylon somewhat controls the Doctor's mind?

Well both Boomers are Cylons. That is they are 2 of any number of copies. The one on Galactica is a sleeper agent that is usually in a mode that doesn't know she is a Cylon only to be activiated at certain times. The Boomer on the planet (Caparica) is an always on Cylon that seems to have defected to help Helo (the guy).

The Cylon in the doctors mind has been subject of many debates as to whether she is there or he is loony. IMHO she is there via some kind of chip.
