BEST. SERIES. OPENER. EVER.
Man, enthralling...... Its really Strange, we're 1 episode (3 realisticly) and im already caring about there characters more than it took me to care about other characters in 3 seasons.
Effects are top notch, acting is supurb. massivly brilliant script writing.....
But the best thing i have to say, is the whiteboard.....
the President uses a white board.... Not a 3d array.... not a frigging stellar-cartograph holodeck.... a whiteboard.... Now thats realisim.... i feel at home in this show.... i dont need to be tech driven, or some crazy psudo-scientific gloop speiled out to me because the writers got lazy.... sci-fi with story, a character drama about the end of the world.... that happens to be set in space,
I like the fact that i can get some kickass dogfights, sweet ass killing machines, and (in the words of Mick Molloy) a wee bit of rumpty-pumpty... yet not be treated like an idiot when a story is being told to me by the writers...
All i can say is.... Mr Moore, Mr Eick..... brong on Kobol and Season 2

Great to have Australia on board at last! ;D
I know what you mean about the whiteboard. It really drives home the underlying nature of the series as story driven in a realistic world with realistic people. Kudos to RDM for banning technobabble in the series!

"33" was fantastic. after all the hyperbole i was expecting to be underwhelmed but noooooooooooo!
my friend Kris (who is not a SF fan but got hooked by the mini last week) summed it up by saying "...it's like the freakin' West Wing but um better!".
so many good bits but i don't know where to start. oh, yes i do, the centurions on Caprica.
off to watch it again...
