I just looked at the running time of the Sky One versions of 33 and Water. Each was about 44 minutes. I resaw the Sci-Fi episodes. The first was 44 minutes; the second a little bit less as they deleted the recap & theme song in the 2-hour slot. So they are not editing out anything if Water was shown in the typical hour airing. I was also wondering if you noticed they show the scenes of each episode in the theme song. Another sci-fi show did that too: the first season of Space 1999! I really loved that show, especially the first year! KR

What i did notice though was I was running water simultaniously on my computer, watching it air, the computer ran faster, I think Skyone runs a slight speedstep to run within their time constraints. aside from that, they appeared to run identical

Could it be the standard 4% speed up of going from film (24 frames per second) to PAL (25 frames per second)? Movies play 4% faster on PAL DVD's than NTSC DVD's, for example. You may also notice an difference in pitch, though this could be corrected. Is Battlestar Galactica shot on film?
