Thanks, BladeRunner! I just listened to both and I definitely like the UK version better. The US version reminds me of the music from the movie Armageddon.

UK version is soooooooooooooo much better I hope that they go back to it and last nights theme was a one time thing.

Hmmmmmmm, after listening to them back to back I have to say that the US version is growing on me but I still like the UK version better.

UK, for certain. Well, almost certain. There may be other factors at work, like me associating it with the show and stuff

UK version, the sad-sounding female vocals are better than just a mournful horn. But I vastly prefer the original series theme, was one of the best TV sci-fi themes ever.

IMO the UK version is better, seems to have more feeling to it.
The start to the US version is so, so similar to the start of the theme from the Yu-Gi-Oh! cartoon show (OK, so not exactly), it just seems to have such an Egyptian feel to it.
As for the drums (it might just be the recording) but they sound very tinny and metallic. It might have worked better if they were clearer.

After listening to both, I must say that I like the version from across the pond better( I live in the U.S.). The version from the UK, seems more haunting with that womans voice, and tends to grab you more than the U.S. version.
