I was just going to say that. I am a little new to these boards. Do you put spoiler for the episode discussed and then again if you mention future episodes?

Yep but as its just aired theres no need also the spoiler that was mentioned was for the next ep so spoiler tags would be good.

I think the spoiler on shown UK episode reviews was for USA viewers. Ithink it should still be there.

The BEST episode so far.
The balance was just about perfect, the music perfectly matched to the episode - especially during the teaser; outstanding performances all around. Even the few bumps were forgiveable - particularly Thrace bedding Baltar after her reaction to him following their first card game - and particularly after walking in on him in "Flesh and Bone".
The only real irritant for me was having confirmation that Sky have cut small, but significant chunks out of some episodes - such as the continuing investigations into the Cylon device (and its twins) first "discovered" in CIC by Baltar in the mini - one of the twins having been found on Leoben Conoy; something Sky also cut. Growl.
Notable performances: well - everyone!
And talk about parallel lines: Helo on Caprica with Valerii - pulling a gun on her with Boomer on Galactica taking out a weapon and trying to shoot herself. Drama at its very best.
And symbolism? The boxing match at the start - an outstanding reminder of the frustration Adamas junior and senior having been carrying around WRT one another for years...
So to the exhange of punches between Lee and Starbuck. More than pent-up jealous went into those two hits. And full mark to Lee for listening to his father and letting instinct take over....
Roslin's conversion into a religious leader is a little sudden, but unsurprising; how long before she does become a Sybil? And as she seems to embrace her religious role - to the point of directly subverting one of Adama's officers (Thrace).
It's interesting how Roslin's religious upswing counterpoints Baltar's unravelling and near-rejection of his in his attempts to distance himself from Six.
And note Six's bewilderment at Baltar's actions and decline; she's clearly confused and not a little hurt - during the scene post-Starbuck, with the camera close-in on her profile, one almost expected to see a tear forming. And, as in life, hurt is followed swiftly by anger.
That is probably the most cleverly-played element of this episode: the way all of the relationships built to date are turned on their heads:
Baltar and Six Helo and Valerii (although this had to be anticipated) Lee and Starbuck (leading nicely on from the problems they were having in "The Hand of God") Roslin and Billy Adama and Roslin (at least to others - his ability to lead the people to Earth being "usurped" by Roslin).
I'll be writing up more considerd thought in the full review, but for now
WOW!

Yes but I dunno I guess I kinda see it as her trying to accept shes going to die and trying to get something good from it - this is meant to happen, she will lead her ppl to earth etc....

Growl. Were the cuts by 'SKY', or just a "Lord of the Rings" time constraint cut? It would have been nice to know about the investigations into the Cylon device sooner - if memory serves it's the first time it's even been mentioned since the Mini.

We saw actual footage of the device being looked at tonight, whibh was from that ep.

What are the chances that we get Season 2 before the US as well? We could be waiting until Spring 2006 before we get to see it. I think I'm going to have to emigrate - anyone know if there's anywhere in the US not affected by Snow, Tornadoes, Hurricanes or Earthquakes?

Apparently not now. Can two people fit into the Cylon Raider? If she finds Helo can she take him with her. Though I don't see the point, the radiation has probably killed off all his sperm so he'll be useless in propagating the future human race
