Here is a link to an interesting article about the new series. www.tucsoncitizen.com/index.php?page=living&story_id=010805d6_battlestarThe monetary contribution of SkyOne is spelled out in specifics per episode (and it is a lot of $$$$). Very positive publicity for the new show and seeing how it was written by someone at Gannett News Service, it should be on their wire and picked up by many other affiliate papers soon. Can this article be placed on the main "Welcome to Galactica.com" page?

This last bit about Sky agreeing to partly finance the series after airing the Miniseries to great Ratings can't be correct as the Mini was only aired on Sky the week prior to the series.

I don't think the author was saying that they agreed to finance the series because of the great ratings on SkyOne - I think he was saying that SkyOne's ratings did well after it aired the mini (which indicates their decision to help finance things was well justified). At least that is what I read it to mean. It is just a rather confusing way of putting it, so I can see where one might read it wrong.

Sky first showed the mini in February 2004 and it did get a very good response here in the UK. When the series started in October, they re-ran the mini just beforehand, but it certainly wasn't the first time they'd shown it.

I totally missed that, was it on one of their Movie channels as I don't get those (only Sky One)?

Yeah, it was shown on SKY Movies for when hell of a long time before it was shown on SKY One.
