I would have liked to have seen Starbuck slam the Cylon device on the table and ask Leoben what the hell is this. We still have no idea what its purpose was in the mini.

Excellent point. And nice spot, Apollo! Wonder what that gizmo IS? Some kind of fancy-dan spy-eye, or something more sinister?

We saw it twice (or two of them) in the Mini.
The one in the CIC on Galactica.
And the other which we saw Six taking out from her handbag at Baltar home.
I'm still bugged by what it's supposed to do, no one seems to have worked that out yet!

Broadcast the images of halluci-six to the chip in Baltar's brain?

Excellent point. And nice spot, Apollo! Wonder what that gizmo IS? Some kind of fancy-dan spy-eye, or something more sinister? I think it was the device that was supposed to relay the Cylon commands to the Galactica. Only problem was the necessary program wasn't in use and the computers weren't networked.

Looked like the same thing #6 had in her purse when she was visiting Baltar at his home on Caprica in the mini.

Looked like the same thing #6 had in her purse when she was visiting Baltar at his home on Caprica in the mini. Definitely one of the same devices, and I've been wondering lately why they haven't brought that thread back up; its been a good while that they've left it almost forgotten. Maybe the thing won't turn out to be as big a deal as we think...or maybe it'll be something bigger & they're saving it for a big surprise climax? Either way, I still think #Six is all in Baltar's imagination....

Could be a red herring. Or some Colonial equivalent of a red herring, as in a fish designed to distract people. ;D If Six is in Baltar's imagination (i.e. sans implanted chip or some such thing) does that mean he's a)delusional through spending too much time in scientific labs amongst all those funny chemicals b)experiencing a kind of manifestation of his guilt complex c)a raving lunatic d)sorely in need of a real girlfriend? ;D Or of course e)all of the above...

I have a theory:
We know the Cylons have a plan and the fleet is a part of this plan. The fleet must do the things that are in the plan to make the plan sucessful. Baltar is heavily influenced by Number6 and I think she know the plan. I think this objects are part of the plan. When the fleet don't make that which is in the plan or Six' influence isn't sucessful they would destroy the fleet with this object. It could be a knew kind of bomb which is very effective, so the Cylons need only some of these bombs to destroy the hole fleet.
