Did I miss something? Not really. It's all in the thread. I think he got upset when Alan pointed out that his (kingfish's) idee fixee about the De Santo movie was off, because DeSanto had Richard Hatch being a cylon (see p. 2 of thread). Then I teased him, because I am a wicked, heartless creature. And then there was some stuff about Languatron by the red fish which was very funny and which the king fish may have taken personally rather than as stuff about Languatron, and then his head exploded. Which is too bad, because I for one would have liked to hear about how having Hatch/Apollo be a cylon would have gone over better with TOSsers than having Starbuck be a girl. Now I'll probably NEVER understand it. S.

My reply was purely related to Chalcedony's link.
The idea of Kingfish's head exploding 'scanner' style over that is amusing. ;D
I've still yet to hear a convincing argument, on how DeSanto's visualisation would be better.

Nor have I, but oh well. I wonder if he knew you were talking about Langy instead of him.... And why does anyone take all this TV show stuff so damn seriously?

Hypothetically speaking, if there isn't a second season, will I still be able to at least get my hands on the scripts, and maybe a copy of the full story-arc?

I've still yet to hear a convincing argument, on how DeSanto's visualisation would be better. Because it's easy enough to say that an unseen alternative is better. If it doesn't happen, then the flaws it may or may not have had if it existed will never surface and so it will remain pristine. Or 'the grass is always greener on the other side' would probably have been the easier answer

Which is too bad, because I for one would have liked to hear about how having Hatch/Apollo be a cylon would have gone over better with TOSsers than having Starbuck be a girl. Now I'll probably NEVER understand it. Probably not. I've asked that question several times, and I sure as hell don't! There are some people that throw around the phrase "Singer/DeSanto" with the same reverence that people might use to discuss the coming of the Messiah, apparently ignoring the fact that the Singer/DeSanto script wasn't what they wanted either! In fact, Hatch and DeSanto were basically on opposite sides, with Hatch pushing a vision that (oddly enough) made Apollo the new Commander while DeSanto was pushing him right out of the show! They only became allies of convenience when Ron Moore got the green light and went in a third direction.
