Hi everyone, Man, what a great show. I like to be kept on my feet. Most TV shows are terrible.IMHO. Did anyone notice how Shelly "let" Mr. Mean Gaius push her backwards? I'm sure she could have wiped the floor with him! Col. Tigh was great pushing Starbuck's buttons and she was helpless to resist despite herself. Classic Looks like the Boomer thread is going to get interesting next week here in the States based on the preview. I'm looking forward to it. Don

How about Adama's ability to sort out that something is wrong with "Shelly Godfrey" (nice last name, huh? a little homage to Mary Shelley plus a reference to the evangelism of Six?) based on something in her kiss?! What's that all about? I mean, they don't know that one of the cylon models specializes in sex and intimacy, right? So what tipped the hand about Shelly? She had a pass at him and then he gave her this look like he was going to eat her liver with fava beans and then sicced Tigh on her out of suspicion. Did I miss something? I think it was more the fact that someone as dam nice as 6 was coming onto an old ugly git like adama ;D Seruiously I don't know It may have been the things she said/what she did or the fact that he trusted baltar more, remember it would have been quite conveniant for the other doc to give "Shelly GODfrey" that disk right before he died. i think it's because Adama was taking treason charges against his top scientist (and his cylon detector maker) more seriously than Shelly obviously was. In fact, when she leaned over to kiss him, i was telling my girlfriend, "She's fracking up. He's gonna know something's up". Overall, another great episode! 5/5! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Rats! I missed the preview. I guess I'll just have to catch it when I review my tape. I missed it a lot because I was viewing it with a larger audience & we were chattering off and on answering questions for non-regular viewers. I think I missed some great lines, but the scenes were great. The restroom scenes caught my attention the most (still recalling that trip to the unisex restroom in Belgium! ) The scene when Baltar was trying to destroy the computer photos was funny and painful at the same time; he was so desperate. And then when he gets caught (by the old man no less - ouch!) I look forward to reviewing the episode again to catch all the nitty gritty details!

This is the episode where Six finally becomes a very interesting character. The personalities between her on Caprica, on the Galactica, and in Baltar's head are all different ever so slightly, but make up the different aspects of the model. An interesting way to flesh out a character, to have three with different quirks, strengths, and weaknesses. But with how quickly she put the whammy back on Baltar she brings new respect as a fascinating EVIL character. Why do I like her so much though? Baltar was great in this one also. They both play off each other so well. Good to see Starbuck on her feet.

This one opens with Baltar working in his lab. Six is by his side. In his mind, they begin fooling around and Baltar is ready for action. However Six wants to talk about God. Baltar begins to talk about God but it looks like he is an atheist. They have a fight and Six shows up as Shelly Godfrey and accuses Baltar of treason, ie he sold out the entire human race. She even has a disk with him planting a bomb at the Caprica defense ministry. Baltar is up to his neck in problems. William Adama tells him that if this true serious consequences will occur. Baltar states Shelly is a Cylon and if he can go to the lab he can prove it. Adama states that is out of the question. If Baltar is guilty everything in the lab will be destroyed and anybody he has been in contact will be interrogated. Geita is working on restoring the photograph and has to go to the bathroom. Baltar follows them and they have a chat while each is in their respective stall. Baltar says the photo is a fake. Geita states that it is real. They banter for a while and Geita leaves. Baltar exclaims, "You forgot to wash your hands." He also runs into Shelly in the bathroom because it is a coed toilet. He tells her that she is a fake, ie a Cylon. She states the contrary. She exclaims how he is in deep water. In a pivtol scene Shelly tried to put the moves on William Adama but he didn't budge. As a result William tells Tigh to keep her under survailence. Tyrol is trying to make the Raider work and is having one heck of a time doing so. Sharon arrives on the scene and begins going into a speech of how the thing needs to be treated kindly like a pet. Tigh visits Kara in the sickbay and states that they Raider is being studied with no luck and this prompts Kara to go to the bay and help Tyrol. She manages to get the thing working.
Back on Caprica, Helo and Boomer are running from the mech Cylons. They manage to elude them and Helo states his feelings for Sharon even mentioning the Chief who Sharon was involved with. Sharon decides to make love with Helo and her spine glows red.
Back on the fleet, Baltar contacts the President who collapses. He wnated to go to her ship, Colonial One fearing the worst. Adama restricted Baltar to the Galactica. The president is okay but because of Billy [ he called for help and the transmission was picked up ] the president will have to go before a paniced public in order to reasure them she is fine. Baltar is placed in a cell and visited by Roslin who has her doubts. She is peeved because it looks like Baltar has taken them all for a ride. Baltar knows the end is near and prays to God. He wants to be a better person for what ever time remains in his wretched life. He has repented and Six appears to calm him down. She manages to sooth him. Geita charges into the room and Baltar figures it is his end. However Geita states Baltar was right, the photo a fake. Shelly Godfrey disappears. Adama is adament and states blatently to Tigh, "Where is she? She couldn't have vanished." Adama realizes that this was a Cylon plot to discredit the doctor who is near completion of his projects. Baltar ius vindicated and the president gives a speech stating just this fact. We see baltar and Six at the end of the episode. Baltar has figured it out. By Six/Shelly accusiing him and his subsequent vindication, Baltar is now above suspicion. Baltar asks her if there was a Shelly Godfrey but she is headed for the bedroom to give him a reward.
==================================================
I rate this one a B. The acting was superb. Callis rocked. "No more Mr Geius." He states when Shelly left the bathroom. Tyrol was also excellent this week as he is cursing while inside the Raider. It was funny and lightened the mood of the show. IMHO, the humanoid Cylons are based on people who might have been abducted. There probably was a real Sharon, Shelly, Lieoben, and Doral. IMHO this was also lifted from the proposed season 2 of BG by Larson with the Cylon replicants on the Pegasus. I know that Ron researched the show.

I can never keep all the abbr. straight. Anyway, I give this eisode 4 out of 5. I would give it five, but it bugs me that they Cylon Raider has no brain, and yet doesn't even need life-support. Also, it was apparently supposed to be a mystery whether or not Godfrey was ever there, or if she was just an illusion. HELLO! THE DISK EXISTS, SO SHE HAD TO EXIST TO HOLD IT!

hej WHA, how about the kiss scene with Adama and Six? I ejoyed it a lot, but the Cylons are dumb thinking that Commander will fall for her, come on, man like Adama! Obvioulsy he draws the right conclusions from that encounter and only finds her more suspicious. I like that part when she asked him if he understands how it is to be lonley, and his answer is so short: "of course" that is sooooo Adama! Short to the point and so powerful. what a guy, wish I was Number 6.

All part of her plan to have Baltar go through a trial by fire and then found to be the innocent victim. As she says - he's more popular and powerful than ever now. This will serve him well in the future - however I won't go into spoilers.

Yeah I liked that scene between Adama and Six. I'm curious how the scene ended before she left the room... it sure must have been awkward.

I think 6 came on to Adama to intentionally raise his suspicions of her. All part of her plan to have Baltar go through a trial by fire and then found to be the innocent victim. As she says - he's more popular and powerful than ever now. This will serve him well in the future - however I won't go into spoilers. i agree 100%! i think we first see evidence of an obvious giveaway as to the plan when Six shows Adama the video of Baltar. We know he inadvertently helped the Cylons defeat the Colonial defense system, but he didn't blow it up. i couldn't even picture Baltar with a bomb--he's a little too wimpy for that. Even when they identified Baltar's face in the reflection, it was still obvious to us, the viewers, that the video had been doctored. Now the question is: did Baltar's prayer in his jail cell affect the final outcome, that is, a fault being found in the video editing? :'(Did the video always have an editing glitch, and it was just coincidence that it was found after Baltar's prayer? If it wasn't coincidence, then either the Cylon God is real and at work, or the Cylons are manipulating reality. :'(Did the video not have a glitch, and once Six knew that Baltar was honestly giving himself up to the Cylon God, she went in and altered the video slightly? The reason i ask these things is because if, as part of the plan, Six always knew the glitch would be found, how could she guarantee that it would be found before Baltar was executed for treason? The kiss was so obviously a bad idea that either it was part of the plan, or it was Six believing that all human males can be persuaded by an opportunity of sex with a beautiful woman (which i'm pretty sure most of us can, but we're also not in charge of defending the last of the human race from annihilation). ;D

I watched the deleted scene at sci fi. It looks like the ship took a poop. I kid you not.

Yeah, that's what it looked like to me. A prudent choice to delete the scene, to say the least!

It looks like the encore last night was pushed back to 11PM. Stargate aired at 10PM.
