What is all the discussion about Pegasus?

I thought Galactica was the last of the battlestars.

thank you to those that responded. I was beginning to wonder if I missed something on TNS.

In the original series, another Battlestar survived & showed up later in the season (commanded by Lloyd "I picked the wrong day to quit sniffing glue" Bridges). Hence, some folks want to see this storyline re-done.

The Pegasus was from the original series in 1978. There was a 2 part 'Living Legend' episode where the Galactica came across a second battlestar commanded by Commander Cain. Cain was a brilliant military tactician. Some people want to see a remake of this ep.

I've never watched TOS either and got more than a tad confused with some of the discussions, but I stuck up a quavering hand and all the veterans were very nice about it. So if in doubt, ask!
