Do any UK-ians know if TNS will be aired on normal tv? ie BBC 1,2 ITV, CHN 4, or FIVE? I am really sick of having to justify why I watch the series and just how good it is to imbecile, halfwit, lunkhead, oikish friends who think I'm a geek. "I can't stand it any longer, I tells ya!" Jackezifez

I haven't heard anything yet, but yes, this would be a very good thing as it would allow me to wave it in front of everyone going 'watch this - this is good sh*t!' Though knowing my luck it will be on something like Channel 4 on a Suday tea-time (where SG-1 is now) We really do NOT need that! First off, it would be cut to ribbons (full on male nudity is fine but I doubt that the opening of 'Kobol's last gleaming pt1' would get through unscathed) and secondly (at the risk of sounding about twice my age here ) the morons who present will just.... extract the urine Ours is not an easy lot in life

It would be amazing if the a channel like bbc or itv picked it up for a primetime slot - and replace the crappy reailty or period drama or sport theyve got on
Of course im dreaming there most likely 5 would pick it up they show some good stuff CSI, CSI Miami, Various Law and Order incarnations and I think there gonna put lost on

Helo - I think that E4 have got 'Lost', which means that Channel 4 will get it. Which is a 'bad' thing as I noted above. Oh for the days when they showed Season 3 'Babylon 5' on a Sunday tea-time... Those were the days...

Absolutely correct my bad. Chan 4 sucks balls I still have nightmares of how they cut Angel to bits 'Lost' might go the same way as 'Desperate Housewives' given that it is a ratings winner in the US. Given that they are both dramas with a 'fantastic' edge, this might just work. So Channel 4 might 'push' that angle rather and make it 'cool' to watch rather than 'write it off' as being sci-fi programming and shove it in an appropriate slot... namely Sunday tea-time! It really does make me wonder why sci-fi has such a 'questionable' image. Is it because when it's done well it makes you think? Because it requires suspension of belief sometimes? What? Answers on a postcard please! ;D

I think its cos scifi is still seen as a geeky thing and the core audience of the BBC or ITV only wants to see short run dramas, reality shows or crappy soaps like the laughable eastenders.

The Label "Science Fiction" isn't the main problem - just look at the popularity of ET/Close Encounters/the Star Wars films. I'm probably going to get flamed to a crisp for saying so, but I blame the BBC. Thanks to the likes of Dr Who & Blakes 7 the average British viewer equates SciFi with wobbly sets and men in rubber suits.
