Considering the big crowd that was on LVROCKS for the show and the amount of people downloading Subject To Discussion.
I am putting the question out there. if the answer is yes, then hit the contact button on LVROCKS and say you want a show about Galactica weekly. I am not encouraging people in either way. But they at the studio make the ultimate decision about what shows are on their site.
Is it feasible to launch a weekly Galactica talk show?
Sponsorship I am struggling with, with my Subject To Discussion show I rely on the bloggers for help. If I were to go solid Galactica what are the pluses and minuses?
After the 13 shows what do we talk about on the show?

Okay, up here in Toronto, we get a radio show called 'Live Audio Wrestling'. It's really popular.
At the end of the week, they have a 2 hour long wrap up show, where they take phone-calls, discuss the story lines, backstage stuff and have interviews.
That's the type of format I could dig.
If you keep to a 15 to 20 show season, you should be fine. But anything beyond that is sure to stink.
Like Paul E. Heyman, you've got to hide the weaknesses of your show and stress the strenghts.
Strength: Lot's of people excited to discuss the show. The stories are great fodder for discussion. Could make all sorts of theme shows.
Weakness: Short TV season. Alot of crazies in the audience. (Do we really want to sit through a discussion about minor inconsistencies, fan fiction, old BSG fawning).
If you stay on too long, the show will be crap, it'll be like those late night Art Belle shows (That shows fucked up).
Leave us wanting more, less is more, quality not quantity, good things come in small packages etc.

A weekly show coming shortly after new eps air in the US would be interesting. If it was on at a time convenient for me, I'd probably listen. If not, I'd probably still download the MP3 file a few days later.
When new shows are not being shown, you could still do the radio show, but with a focus on "now that the season has aired, what clues in this last week's rerun did we miss, what red herrings did we fall for", that sort of thing, but I don't know if that could hold the same audience. In any case, such shows would likely go to listeners' phone calls sooner, rather than spending most of the show talking to the expert-of-the-week (internet fan personalities, the occasional cast/crew member).
As to sponsorship...I'm sure various SF-themed companies would be interested in buying commercials on a show that gets an audience of SF fanboys. Model/toy dealers, cons, comic book dealers, genre movies and shows, book publishers, that sort of thing. Contact them and ask if they want to advertise. I'm sure the SciFi channel would be willing to buy at least one fairly cheap ad in exchange for the relatively free publicity...I didn't hear any ad breaks in the MP3 file I downloaded, what kind of ads DO you guys use? Banners on the site?

My €0.02c.
Do one more show first to see what listenership you get first.
If it's as high or higher than the last show then run it each week.
If it's lower then twice weekly or once monthly.

What if it was a Sci-Fi show that focused more on Battlestar? That way you wouldn't paint yourself in to a corner when the season ends. You could discuss other properties. Look at what is slated to come out this year that appeals to people like us: Star Wars Episode 3, Serentiy, The Fantastic Four, A Scanner Darkly, The Fountain, etc...and those aren't counting TV shows. I think a general sci-fi show with the emphasis on Battlestar Galactica is the way to go. However you do it I'd listen every week.

Well this week I am stacking the deck with Aaron Douglas coming on.
But I will go back to my original format on the show when I return at an earlier time on Wednesday February 16 at 6pm PST which would make it 9pm PST.
While I evaluate it, I do have a couple guests already booked to talk about politics and current events and will honor those bookings and reconsider.
