I am wondering, how can you be an extra on BSG? Anyone have any info on this? I mean come on how cool would it be to be working in the CIC. Thanks!

Probably the same as here in Bangkok. You get registered with a number of modelling agencies they give your pictures to casting agent/agency if they like you you get asked. You probably need to be registered with agencies near the shooting location.

My brother lives with a number of set builders/designers in Vancouver... I'm gonna see if I can get my dirty brown face on the show.

Who wouldn't want to be an extra?!
Even if come shooting day its boiling hot weather and you're inside the unairconditioned studio in a space suit made of what seems to be made of layer upon layer of stuffing and pvc and you need the loo (hey look how english I am) but you're not allowed to go because it takes ages to re-suit, and the crew is bossing you around- telling you where to go and how to stand but you can't hear them because of the space suit helmet, and you're only on for a few seconds - of which the camera films your quick and effective death - but no-one really cares because your character has no name and after all you're only an extra...
It would still be totally worth it though....

Um, I wouldn't want to be an extra. Never mind the fact that I have a hideous face and the acting ability of a burnt pancake. I just know if I was in a scene or hell, on the set, with EJO I'd end up rugby-tackling him to the ground and the poor guy'd have to spend the rest of the day sort of dragging me around because I'd refuse to let go of his leg.
Lords of Kobol, I am SUCH a sad groupie... ;D

Have acting experience though if you count my significant roles in my school plays many years ago.... ho hum

guys, JEO is a terrifying dude.... I don't think you'd be able to hang onto his legs... because honestly, he could look at any of us, and we'd spontaneously combust

I would be happy for him to look at me any way he wants. Don't fancy the spontaneous combustion part though

If they could put my cause of death down as combustion due to EJO then I'd die happy.

If they could put my cause of death down as combustion due to EJO then I'd die happy. definately would be a memorable way to go, that's for sure. I'm gonna look into this extra thing once I graduate Uni IN A MONTH AND A HALF!!!!!. As I said before, my older brother lives with a few set designers that work for the studio in hongcouver, so when I'm done school in Frigid Ontario, I shall head out there with my useless history degree, and try and get on the show

It seems that there's no real call for extras, seems they have all the extras they want.
Would be cool to wear that rubber flight suit, despite how hot it is. Imagine having a picture of yourself in one of those. Course, you can try to make one yourselves... I'm on the lookout for a gray tank top and brace to match the shirts they wear.
