Kobol Cylon Home World ?

The Cylon's needed a place to build new Basestars and fighters for 40 years. Could they have found Kobol and settled there to evolve and "find God".
Could the Cylon Human connection maybe go back thousands of years.?
Maybe the Cylon's were responsible for the Exodus from Kobol.
I've only seen the episodes shown so far in NA but I'm throwing these thought s out for discussion.

I think it would be very well defended if it's their main home world. There wasn't any sign of them when they scan it (in space or on the surface) the first time and only one basestar the second time. [/spoile]
