Do you think they'll encounter other factions of humans or Cylons in season 2? Maybe there will be groups of humans who were exiled from Kobol, and the first time Galactica meets them it will end in a misunderstanding. Now about other Cylon factions... sure the Cylons have their religion, but maybe there are groups of Cylons who have different beliefs. How do you guys feel about Galactica meeting alien races? I know I read somewhere that Galactica is trying to stay away from plasticheads and stuff, but maybe they'll do alien encounters just ship to ship only.

I think they will encounter the Pegasus and possibly some rogue classic Cylons, but not in season two. They should save that for when they are running out of story ideas.

I am leery about this as I do not want any Planet of the Week episodes where they find humans living and thriving with no knowledge of the Cylons, and of course, they speak the same language as the Colonials. With the Cylons jumping into sector after sector, it would seem that they would have found the humans first, because I believe the fleet is alive only because the Cylons want them alive, and they allowed them to find water. Also, I am not sure about aliens or rouge Cylons, remember Red Eye, I get shivers just thinking about it! The way BSG is right now is really is working for me in that unlike Voyager the universe is vast and not teeming with life, the chances of running into someone is quite remote. I can image that they could find, or Pegasus could find them because of some sort of military subspace transponder thingy that they could pretend exists. Anyway, I am not sure that they should meet up with anyone and it runs the risk of being a "Jump the Shark" moment.

How about finding some religious cult that left for deep space during the first cylon war. Maybe they could have been following the 13th tribe and have some information that might be crucial to the current quest. They could even have some old Mk. II Vipers or somethingwith them. Just a handful, to help with the inevitable shortage.

Well I have being wondering if Galactica was the only ship to escape the holocaust. Maybe they’ll encounter another Battlestar somewhere down the line.

I hope they keep running into anyone else at a minimum.

and they allowed them to find water." <<
If the Cylons allowed them to find water, why did they destroy the 'water supply' in the first place ? To give Boomer a chance to be hero, to get in close to the commander ?
Seems the Cylons are coraling the Humans, but it is to a grand vague strategy . Hit or miss .
