For me it put's a lot of things into perspective. I personaly haven't lost anyone, but I know people who have.
When you consider you are 8 people removed from knowing anyone on the planet, a death toll of 125,000 plus brings those odds rapidly down.
Hopefully the world will see larger more important issues at hand.
YNWA (You'll never walk alone) to all those who've lost.

I drink Ashai Dry. For those of you who do not know the Japanese make a fine beer and it goes great with Sushi!!!!!! I agree, there's something about being served by a robot in London. For curries, Tiger or Cobra beer. Italian, Peronni (sp?)

Boddingtons is an english bitter hybrid with one of those widgets inside to give a creamy head (did I just say that ) ESB is a draft bitter, but can't remember the brewery name. Horndean's HSB or Abbot's Bishop's Finger are the ones I look out for, failling that, Courage Directors is the next best thing. I don't like the pressurised bitters too much. I drink Guiness or Murphy's in downmarket establishments (), it's hard to fuck up those drinks. Good ale needs a diligent landlord, otherwise you may as well poor it on your chips.

We're going to give up when these books from Amazon arive. One's the Carr self hypnosis book, which I know won't work, so I'm going to relly on wil-power (yeah right!!), cold turkey and partner support. I'm not even sure I want to use those free patches from the NHS, I've used them before, but they make the hit of a crafty cigarette even stronger.
The second book is Carol Vordamin's detox diet, my wife wants to lose weight and cut the booze, so we're both doing it to help each other out.
I know it's not a good idea to come off every vice you have all at once, we kind of go into these sort of things, all guns blazing. Like the time we moved house on December 22nd, organised all our furniture, shopping, presents and both sets of direct family over for 7 days at Christmass, all 10 of us in a 3 bedroom house. Not the same thing, but it's our kind of mentality.

I think there's worste to come....
What gives me hope in these things is the strength of public opinion. The more access we have to debate and opinions, the more we can question our leaders, which is what got them into office. Maybe a naive outlook on politics, but there will be a larger anti vote to using these weapons to a pro vote.

Cally, we had an excellent weekend. We went to 'Call of Arms' gaming convention near Reading, UK. Stayed for an hour, got bored, went to a pub, had two measures worth, went home. Took the dog for a walk, cooked Tiger Prawns with garlic, butter and parsley, followed by peppered steak, then Chunky Monkey (bannana, walnut, vanilla) ice cream. Then.......................Sunday.
Who says love is boring!!!!!!

Anyone here register with POPBITCH, www.popbitch.com, a free e-mail Fortean Times of the celeb world. F'ing hilarious. Have a look at last year's top ten. Warning, in very bad taste and shouldn't be repeated in anyones company, except after 12 pints and the feeling of taking on the whole world.
