Coolness abounds. And a real fatal blow to EJO as well, the first time i think we feel that the commander of a ship is actually in mortal danger.
And eager to see what happens to Sharon, she's gonna have a frakky time in the second season.

Pot may not be illegal in Caprican culture. it's legal in some places on Earth, so why not? I imagine you're not supposed to use it on military ships. I also doubt that it wouldn't be an episode that "you should have bene there but you were smoking drugs!" bull because of the Smoking Doctor, they've proved they're not PC and wouldn't do that kind of episode. Would be neat to see Apollo lighting a reefer.

True, those clip shows are pretty annoying, but they do have to meet their episode quota, and in Stargate's case it seems that it's become a staple, just trying to do stuff differently.
I DOUBT Battlestar will have that problem, especially because they can do an entire ep in sets with NO CG whatsoever if they need it, they are masters of having people stand around and talk, how much does that cost?

Extras

It seems that there's no real call for extras, seems they have all the extras they want.
Would be cool to wear that rubber flight suit, despite how hot it is. Imagine having a picture of yourself in one of those. Course, you can try to make one yourselves... I'm on the lookout for a gray tank top and brace to match the shirts they wear.

It would be ideal if the episodes could air on the same day at about the same time (allowing for the time change of course) so we cna be spared the awful spoilers headache and so on. Ron Moore and co are clearly in tune with the fans and fan-concerns so I would assume they're trying to engineer something like this.

When I first read "acting innocent" I thought of her putting on an act, being all sweet and all, but second thought (my serious thought) was I can totally see her transform to a monster through her interrogation, and it seems like she would be genuinely confused and scared at the start, so we would have to question if it's an act or not... which would totally be BSG style!

From what I've read in the summary, Sharon is dragged out by the hair and essentially put in the box, or whatever. I totally want to see a few episodes of her essentially tortured by people who use to be her friends (just for a few moments), shot in the leg, I have this visual of her in this danky low-cielinged box in the gray tank and boxer briefs crying as people talk about "what do we do?" She totally reasserts her humanity so they wind up killing a human, not a cylon. Plus the whole issue of her torture and so on throw red flags through the administrations policies even more than the previous torture episode. They should not give her a chance to defend herself because they're too blinded with rage, scared, and stupid... in other words, human.
I do like the idea of a scene of Boomer in a cell having a convo with another Boomer, though I can see the other Boomer being in her head (a la Six). it would be an amazing sequence, I would love to see what they say to each other. One far-far male fantasy wish would be an F/X matting nightmare, but I could totally see C Boomer kissing the beaten G Boomer, a "how the frak did they DO that!?!!" shot, if you think about it.
As for Caprica Boomer... not sure, I can see a gun pointed at her head by Starbuck on Caprica at some point.

Here's how you can do the Pegasus: looting the destroyed Battlestars for parts.
Don't need to see Earth... any other series I would love that transmission idea but not this series, it deviates too far from the concept. I am very critical of religion (athiest) so i love the idea that their salvation and hope doesn't really exist. It's wonderfully cruel.
Speaking of wonderfully cruel, since Boomer is discovered to be a cylon, she'll be really interesting to watch, put in the hole, just seeing all these people who used to be her friends being so horrible to her, complete 180 and just seeing what that does too her emotions and so on.
An epidemic going through the ships would be awesome because it would open up a lot of discussions about the right to die, medical support for terminal cases (think the Schiavo case that's going on right now), and more. The testing of medicine and dangerous drugs on terminal cases in one last hope for life... see how far these people will go to save lives.
I also want to see Starbuck get some.

I think it's cool that you would look normal, you could get away with wearing the costume more than Trekkies can (though I do think the half-flightsuit, which you can get at Army Surplus stores, REALLY!) will raise an eyebrow or too.

I was thinking that look too, I don't think I could do a full uniform, but frak that, I want to go to cons as an off-duty pilot (maybe with the dog tags, I gotta remember that). I'm even thinking of spraying a green flightsuit with some sort of reflective thing so it looks like the rubber suits... wouldn't need to be an exact match cause I'd have half the outfit tied around my waist.
Thanks for the hint about the racing shirt, wasn't sure what to call it.

Kinda curious... Trekkies do it, Star Wars fans do it, anyone here thinking about Galactica costuming? I know I'm on the lookout for a gray tank and brace thingie to recreate the undershirts (any idea what kind of shirt that second thing is?), but that's nothing... anyone thinking about making Officer's uniforms or the flightsuits? Would love to see a couple pilots at Comic-Con or the like.

www.deviantart.com/deviation/16152494/A drawing I did of Grace Park a couple days ago (off my own kinescopes and screencaps), just two that are on a big page but the only two good-looking ones. Intended originally to be studies for a more impressive pic that I'm not sure if I'm going to do. Might also draw Starbuck. She looks a lot like my friend Chrissee (who I gotta get a picture of in a gray tank top and brace to prove) Chris

Ooh, here are the stories you should tell (amongst others I'm sure)
-The Courier's Tale, tell us about how he has to say goodbye to his family every year. -The Mechanic's Tale, tell us about some lowly person who fizes Raptors.
Give us a story about one of the journalists in the news corps, one of the prisoners on the ship who was arrested for some petty offense.. OOOH OOH! The Toaster's Tale! Tell us the story of the old Centurian in the museum, from his defeat in battle to his forty years in study and storage and finally on display!

Would Leodon be Simon the Summoner?
Oh man, thinking of all the DIRTY stories Chaucer wrote no less, glowing-spines could go well in those.
I think that's an awesome idea.
