LONDON (Reuters)
Can't get out of bed in the morning?
Scientists at MIT's Media Lab in the United States have invented an alarm clock called Clocky to make even the doziest sleepers, who repeatedly hit the snooze button, leap out of bed.
After the snooze button is pressed, the clock, which is equipped with a set of wheels, rolls off the table to another part of the room.
"When the alarm sounds again, simply finding Clocky ought to be strenuous enough to prevent even the doziest owner from going back to sleep," New Scientist said on Tuesday.

why not put the alarm out of reach in the first place Because even if I have put it out of reach - I still know where I've put it!! The idea of a clock that hides itself is just exactly what I need to wake up (I sleep the sleep of the dead - waking up is a BIG problem for me)

Cool idea. But I think it would be a lot simpler and more effective to create an alarm clock that gives you a mild electrical shock when you hit the snooze button. They could call it The Pavlov. After just a few days, you would be conditioned to wake up the first time the alarm sounds.

I thought it was about something else too. Ha ha ha! I think ziptie has a good idea how to marry the two ideas into one device (see Relationships thread). I think finding it would be a lot easier though but would still wake you up good! I think we could call it the Zippie!
