You want to watch out. bones get brittle; that many bumps at that age, something could go wrong, bones and things could snap Here he goes again. Didn't anybody teach you about respect for your elders? i'm reminded of the story of the bull and his son standing on top of a hill, looking down on a field full of cows. The son says, "Hey dad, let's run down there and frak one of those cows"; and the father bull says, "No, son--let's walk down there and frak all of them". Ah, the folly of youth...

Here he goes again. Didn't anybody teach you about respect for your elders? Well, they tried, but they kept losing concentration and from time to time their eyes would just kind of glaze over. And well, you know us kids of the MTV generation, we just have no patience, so I made up my own lesson instead. Something about tigers. *frolics and follies* Besides, you know you love me really.

Thanks, guys! Boy, I didn't expect this thread to stretch so long....but then again, I did know it was a big can o' worms ;D This thread has to keep going! Its definitely my favorite one. Sure it may wind up on the back burner from time to time and get a bit sticky here and there, but no matter what ya gotta admit its still a fun one!

Well, they tried, but they kept losing concentration and from time to time their eyes would just kind of glaze over. You're good at this. And well, you know us kids of the MTV generation, we just have no patience... And to think it was the generation before mine that invented MTV. If only we had realized that it would one day become this disfigured monster, eating brain cells like candy and crapping out it's own twisted vision of contemporary America, we might've been able to stop it sooner. But we weren't old enough to have any kind of buying power that the Nielson's would recognize. i was 12 when MTV hit the air. i still remember when they played music videos only. i would like to take this opportunity to apologize to you, Crashdown, and any others who are younger than me, who have been adversely affected--mentally, emotionally or otherwise--by MTV's programming. And i'd like to add that i think those of the generation before mine owe the biggest apology. Besides, you know you love me really. i love all my fellow Ragnarians. ;D **hugs**

*sings softly to self, tears silently rolling down face* Fish heads, fish heads, rolley polley fish heads fish heads, fish heads, eat them up yum!... YES! Whenever anybody talks about the early days of MTV, they always bring up Modern English's "Melt With You" and "Video Killed The Radio Star", but they never mention "Fish Heads" or other off-the-wall stuff like that. Anybody remember Art of Noise's "Close To The Edit" with the little punk rock girl smashing a violin on the train tracks? (i know that this is kind of off-topic, but is there really a topic here anymore? i think as long as we throw in a hug every now and then, it'll still fall under the heading "Relationships"). **hug** ;D

YES! Whenever anybody talks about the early days of MTV, they always bring up Modern English's "Melt With You" and "Video Killed The Radio Star", but they never mention "Fish Heads" or other off-the-wall stuff like that. I'm so glad someone else remembers that one. Usually, whenever I break out into song with that one, people look at me like I'm nuts. Now I know I am truely amoung friends! Anybody remember Art of Noise's "Close To The Edit" with the little punk rock girl smashing a violin on the train tracks? I remember that one! Very strange. What about Madness ("...our house in the middle of our street..."), or "A Town Called Malice", I'd love to hear some of that old stuff again (sadly, even though I have satellite tv and I usually listen to the 80's music choice channel, they NEVER play that stuff . Its usually just the trite ridiculously popular songs that get the air time. ) (i know that this is kind of off-topic, but is there really a topic here anymore? i think as long as we throw in a hug every now and then, it'll still fall under the heading "Relationships"). **hug** ;D *hugs back*
