I'm just a lowly factory worker for a major U.S. earth moving equipment. Actually I work for Caterpillar, but the other thing sounded more distuingished.

I have probably had the most bizarre combination of jobs than anyone. I was at one time:
1) The coordinator of a wastewater treatment plant 2) Insurance Investigator 3) Manager and HR Director for a small bookstore chain 4) Did top secret weapons development in a private corporation contracted by the military. We did some neat stuff for Desert Storm. 5) Worked for the Navy as a civilian. 6) Was GM and then President of a large specialty advertising firm. 7) Headhunter specializing in physicians only.
Now, I'm a stay-at-home mom, which is a misnomer since I mostly chauffeur my first grade son around to his numerous activities.

Does anyone else think, with the wealth of talent on this board, we could set up our own space agency? All we need now is an eccentric billionaire! Bill Gates are you listening?

So many different thoughts running through my head... but primarily I would use the agency to fulfil a lifelong ambition of... GOING INTO SPACE.
Just to see the earth from "up there" must be an incredible experience.
(I want, I want, I want)

Can I come? ;D I remember reading something in a newspaper about a guy who wanted to go into space and an (obviously) skeptical interviewer who was all like 'but what about the risks' and this guy just said 'what ABOUT the risks?' I loved that.

Currently I'm basically unemployed, but I occasionally get work as a substitute teacher in the computer science lab at the school where my Mom is a teacher.
I previously worked as a retail salesdrone in a bookstore, at Radio Shack, and in the housewares department of a big department store. I also worked for a bit as a receptionist for a mortgage company, then got promoted to writing their advertising and running their website (then fired when they realized how much above my abilities I'd been promoted).
