Will we see them? In the original there were some pretty big names such as Ray Milland, Lloyd Bridges, Patrick Macnee, Lloyd Bochner, ect. To date the only "big" name we have seen is Hatch. IMHO if they had a bigger budget more guest talent could be aquired.

I'm against "Big Name" guest stars:
The X-Files deliberately shied away from "Big Name" guest stars - the producers felt that people would be looking at the guest stars' faces rather than paying attention to the story.

So instead they just kept recyling the good ones lol
Don't get me wrong I loved the X-Files and am now happily looking forward to the sequel film - That is if Gillian Anderson signs on for it.

Olmos is a big enough star for me! I say spend the $$ on great writing, sets and SFX, and pay to keep the incredible cast we have now. Talk about a "deep bench."

I agree that this would be the best thing to do, but it would be great to see Cain. A lot of fans want the Pegasus storyline, Moore is clever enough to write this into the scenario.

I'd like to see Brittany Murphy, I've noticed she & Katee look kind of similar when they make their ditzy face. Cousins or something, maybe for half a season.

And don't forget McDonnell along with Olmos- these guys are big names to be in a weekly sci-fi series! I would like to see more TOS stars enter the series in Year Two, especially Dirk & Herb & Anne! And of course Richard too! That would be awesome! KR

In the case of TNS the budget is low enough that guest stars aren't required. I'd still like to see some, but I don't want to see Moore writing scripts just for them. Of course Lang once mocked us for booking a guest star, ignoring the fact that TOS did so far more often. He also claimed that a two-hour premiere was a sign the Sci-fi Channel wanted to "get it over with" quicker, also ignoring the fact that TOS had a THREE-HOUR PREMIERE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ;D I just had to share this, it's so funny.

Sports vernacular! Love it! BSG TNS doesn't need any big names, what we need now is Dirk Benedict to appear! I think he would be a great guest to have, since we've already had Richard Hatch. This show has so much strength that it can go the distance if it has to without ever getting a big name star, unlike one of my other favorites, "ENTERPRISE", which seems to be free falling into cancellation & desperately needs William Shatner to guest star to boost its ratings! As mjm800 pointed out, we don't want this to be the "Love Boat" in space!

TNS doesn't need any big names. It doesn't even need any more TOS actors. A Denny Crane cameo would be pretty damned funny, though. But really: I feel TNS is strong enough to stand on it's own.

Yeah, any series that has to rely on bringing in the big guest stars usually ends up doomed. I wouldn't mind seeing an occasional TOS star (other than Hatch) for nostalgia purposes, but if we get more budget let's spend it on important and useful things, not big names to flash around and distract people from our already stellar cast (no pun intended!) and our brilliant storylines. ;D
