Man, was I ever not happy. *shudder* Honestly, you might want to *shudder* a little if you're dreaming about BSG, full stop! That might well mean it's occupying a little too much of your available brain, duder. The only time I've ever dreamt about a television show was the time I was very sick with the flu/fever, and was on lots of medication, and watched two seasons of Star Trek TNG back to back, commercial free, in one day of couch-sitting in a delerious haze. Got waaaaay too into it. At the beginning of the day I was referring to "Captain Picard", and by the end I was referring to "Jean-Luc" if that gives you any idea. Craaaaazy. Know when to say when, Crash. xo S.

I've just remembered I dreamt about flying a Viper MkII last night. The Cylons were were attacking my home town of Burnley in Lancashire you know, like they do, Adama was my dad, which would make me Apollo and I kept forgetting that Kara's callsign was Starbuck, so we had problems communicating over the phone.
I tend to regularly have dreams about Sci-fi shows especially crossovers like Farscape and Stargate, running around shooting bad guys with Aeryn, Chiana and Jack O'Neil. I used to have plenty about Voyager but tended to hang around with Janeway most the time and hardly ever came across that pesky ex borg 7 of 9
Most of them seem quite intense with plenty going on and great fun. I dont watch a great amount of Sci-fi but they must make some impression on me. Does anyone else have vivid dreams about Sci-fi?

Fever dreams are the bestest though. This one time, I had a wacky half awake/half asleep dream where I managed to create a new way of thinking, instead of words or concepts, or anything like that, it was completely composed of rows and rows of dots. Then I tried to switch to my new system and for what felt like 10-20 minutes I was unable to think any coherent thoughts and was unaware of anything except pain. That same night, I also thought I was a squirrel and grew very suspicious of my stereo. Needless to say, I was very ill.

In a past I've now ten years forgoten, I had a twenty minute conversation with some girl at a party in a country barn, when pixel by pixel she disapeared infront of my very eyes. That was some medication in a blue and white capsule!!!! And it wasn't Beechams!! On a more serious note, there have been studies into visual regognition language, where people see words or colours or both, which describe their surroundings. There was an excellent Horizon (UK science programme) where they investigated this phenomenon. In one of their examples, a bar man could 'taste' certain words. eg the words 'a bag of nuts' would 'taste' like marmite. Apparently it's to do with the way our brain cross references our senses for memories. It also explains why certain words or shapes conjure certain emotions. an example What shape do you see, when I say the word 'PRICKARDEXLY' And what shape do you see when you read 'SERWINJERLY' Repeat them until you are familiar with how you say them. Neither are real words, but they both have completely different visual meanings!!!! This is how linguists are now looking into the origins of language.

All of the sudden while reading your post this one 80s song popped in to my head and started looping - the one that goes "time ooooh give me time oooooh" - who sang that?
Weird.
