I was just thinking about what I'd like to see in the new series.
1. They meet the Pegasus, but use some kind of relay station to contact it (say it was out trying to find the Cylons, to see if they still posed a threat). Don't just happen to run into it.
2. Gretchen Wilson guest stars, and fights with Sakhoff.
3. Tricia Helfer in a dominatrix outfit (need I say more?).
4. One, single race of non-humanoid aliens. No more. Fermi's Paradox must be considered.
5. Roslin pulls a coup in an attempt to gain de-facto power in addition to de-juro, leading to a civil war.

I want them to run into a renegade band of Cylons who left the Cylon main culture to seek their fortunes elsewhere -- the Cylon puritans, so to speak -- who still look like the old chrome toasters and have the old-model base stars and fly the old-model raiders.
By your command!

Well, 6 did say in the mini that the original Cylons still had their uses. My question is: for what? KR

Pegasus, no question, guest star appearence as Cain, Wesley Snipes.
Some kick arse vitriol against a few base stars.
Katie Sackhoff in the buff.
Some other classes of Colonial fleet.
Boxey in some deranged form of acid melting torcher, tied to Tigh's wife. A bit like that guy in Robocop and the vat of toxic waste.
Something other than 'are they aren't they' plot lines.
Lucifer as a C3P0 type pastiche.
To see the Galactica use it's main spinal guns on something.
More CG Cylon stuff, some sort of Ice Planet scenario, without the double stilton from the 70's.
More of an understanding of the fleet facilities.
Some of the on planet hardships, like the mining of water etc. Ie, outside the fleet.
Inside a new Basestar.
More of the Cylon religion/belief structure.
More of the Colonial religion/belief structure.
More, as I think of them.........

By your command! That sounds too much like that episode of ST:TNG where they met independent Borg.

Pegasus, no question, guest star appearence as Cain, Wesley Snipes. No, how about Anthony Stewart...can't remember his last name...well, you know, Giles off Buffy. They team up with the Pegasus to fight one. [quoteInside a new Basestar.[/quote] O.k., but there's no air, so they wear spacesuits. SO SAY WE ALL!! For the humans I'd say more beliefS. I don't want them to have just one.

I am not sure if these rumors are true or not, but can RDM do the Pegasus storyline if Larson has the rights to it? And does Larson only have the rights to Pegasus and not Galactica? Can someone clear this up for me. I'm confused here, KR

Can someone clear this up for me. I'm confused here, KR I am sure even if he does Larson would hand over the rights for the right price, thus burning TOS fans again, but somehow they will find a way to blame it all on RDM and not Larson.

I am not sure if these rumors are true or not, but can RDM do the Pegasus storyline if Larson has the rights to it? Easy fix. Bonnie Hammer gets the TOSers off her neck by letting Larson do a TOS continuation mini on the Sci-Fi Channel, and in exchange he gives Moore the rights. As I understand it, though, Larson only has the movie rights to Galactica, the series and TV rights are Universal's.

Well, even if he controlls interlectual rights (which would include the show's name sake) the Pegasus, could always be named something different, like Pheonix, or Thor.
I want more budget ploughed into this. I don't want a sci-fi soap opera.
More to the list...
Baltar finds his allegence outside the fleet.
Some f'ed up m'theory time/space dynamics. (What ever else happens, if this was taken on-board it'll blow everyones minds)
Tactical evolution, like the armour/tactics race in WWII. Constantly evolving through out the course of the show. (playing on that, dimensional displacement shields(tm lol), where objects shift in and out of our 4D reality), Warped bombs and counter measures.
Helo / CapBoomer make their way back to Galactica, expose GalBoomer, suss out they are both rogue and overcome their control programs. More internal Cylon insight.
We find out where the Cylon home planet is.
More flashbacks to the assault on the twelve colonies. Maybe through new characters.
More on the Cylon rebellion.

I want to see Tigh's wife get really drunk and beat the crap out of that old lady that Baltar helped onto the Raptor in the mini. You know, little miss "I can't find my glasses, except they're on my head..."
*that was a joke, btw - Anyone watch that Monty Python marathon today?*

Maybe they could find the Cylons enjoined in a hippie cult that just wants peace and love between the humans and Cylons.

Depending on how you'd want him played...Caine could be the gruff military type:
R. Lee Ermey Sam Shepard Sam Elliot James Cromwell Powers Boothe Michael Rooker
The reserved, brilliant, calculating, myseterious type:
Mitch Pileggi Ed Harris Michael Biehn Lance Henrisksen David Morse Andre Braugher
The wacky, possibly unbalanced guy
James Woods Fred Dreyer (don't laugh, I think he could do it)
