I thought that I would quite easily be able to deal without watching a new episode until 3rd Jan but I'm already rattling. I watched the mini again today erm.. yesterday hence the new sound clips and will probably start watching the series later today. I think Christmas will be fine but will have to draw the reserve Sci-fi out for the week in between. Firefly will have to come out, Peacekeeper wars and season 8 of Stargate.

I think what makes it all the worse is that we know the next episode is The Hand of God, and most of us have been waiting for this one since we saw it on the episode listing. Two eye scans for addiction

What are they showing instead, anyway? More disaster/reality programs like 'When Ikea furniture goes wrong', 'Home decoration from hell' and 'When things fall out of cupboards' not to mention probably something involving police chases.

You've got to admire these shows though. I mean they give people who could never get any other chance to be on TV (or in any kind of gainful employment) the chance to host a TV show, like some sort of crazy outreach program for the challenged/idiotic. And I think we can all agree that that's what Christmas is really all about ... and the birth of Santa

And I think we can all agree that that's what Christmas is really all about ... and the birth of Santa *smacks forehead* They're actually showing some trash called 'Prince Charming' in the Sky One slot, a lah-dee-dah affair that you can just TELL was purpose-made for Christmas. A fact I only know because of the trailers, I might add. And the fact that Billy Connolly is in is does NOT excuse the fact that it usurped BSG. FILTH!

I like Billy Connolly, but I find a lot of the time (not always, there's a number of exceptions), when he's in movies and dramas and stuff, they ain't that great. I don't think it's him, I think he's a fairly decent actor (but a better comedian, obviously). Just maybe he doesn't always make the best decisions about what to appear in.

The only plus-side to this agonising wait is that we don't have to put up with
'the Mmmmmoment of Silence, a cinematic adventure from Digital Jesters'
every single, god-damned ad break.
