Oh, I have no shortage of things to keep me busy during the rest of the week (and the weekend, for that matter!) Still, no matter how insane my schedule, my mind tends to wander back to "I wonder what's going to happen on BSG this coming Friday...?" I guess that's the sign of a good show...I really don't do that with the other shows I watch, actually...most of those I tend to watch and then watch again (ie, the next episode) the next week with little thought about them in between...but BSG tends to occupy my mind sometimes even when I'm not watching it! 'D

I'll try...! It's even harder those weeks when I can't see it on Friday and instead have to tape it or have someone tape it for me, then watch it later...

...feel after seeing each episode that they can't stand to wait a whole week for the next episode...?

Actually, I'm kinda hoping they have done something like that...simple because if they haven't, that means we'll never get to see Starbuck fly again...and I would be greatly miffed by that...

Great Lines (may be slightly paraphrased): Baltar To Six: Actually, I've been occupied by my own religion lately...the Church of the Mystic CYlon Detector, as it were... Starbuck to herself: Think of it as a horse. Right. Why not a goat? That's good, right? Think of it as a goat... Great Scene: Baltar trying to smash the computers....and after trying to turn it off, pull the wires, shake it, and even smash it, it still works. I want that computer!!!

So, what happened to Kat....? (I know Chuckles bought the farm, along with Fireball (Like no one could see that coming, with a callsign like that...!) and at least one other trainee, a woman. But which woman?

Wow, what a great episode!!! This is going up there as one of my favortites so far! So much great stuff I don't even know where to start: I loved seeing Apollo show off his skills, and I loved seeing the budding father/son relationship between Adama and Apollo. I liked the list that Starbuck was going over with the trainees--particularly the inclusion of item #5 ("Pray") on the official list she was showing them! I also liked to see the very real consequences of sending pilots with only a few weeks of training into combat...they were all undertrained and inexpirenced, and no doubt scared as hell, but they did their part...and many of them died for it. Very sobering, as was the scenes near the beggining of the episode where Tigh tells Roslin that taking the tylium is going to cost them a great deal, and Apollo kind of gulps and looks so sad/resolved/resigned all at the same time--he, just like we the audience, knew exactly what group of people were going to be paying most of that price-- his people. The way Tyrol and his crew were just waiting there solemly, no doubt wondering how many of the pilots would come back. The Vipers hiding in the packing crates was great too...and for a wonderful finale, the party in the hanger bay!!! I liked seeing the Adama/Starbuck scenes as well once the attack began--he's definitly grooming her for something "bigger", he msut see something in her beyond the wild, undisciplined pilot. That said, I do hope that, please, in the next season at least, can we see Starbuck get back in the cockpit again???

That I just thought might refer to Starbuck's history of getting herself tossed in the brig.... ;D

I still can't make sense out of this episode...! (Now, honesty compels me to admit that perhaps part of the reason I can't make much sense out of it is because several times during it I was inturrupted by the need to deal with various assorted crises via the telephone, which kinda hampered my ability to watch the TV...) Still, the following really confuse me: *Why is Roslin having visions of Cylons (or at least a particular Cylon) now? Especially why the one that then shows up mere secodns after her first dream? *Why does Adama send Starbuck to interrogate Leoban? *How does Leoban know so much about Starbuck, and talk about their destinies and such? Between that and the Cylon raider working for her and not working so well for others, I'm beggining to get worried she's a Cylon... *Why the heck doesn't Baltar call Adama the minute Boomer leaves? Baltar is all about saving Baltar's neck. Therefore, it makes sense he wouldn't tell Boomer the truth, given the possible danger. However, there is also possible danger in letting a Cylon wander the ship!!! I would think he would have preserved his a** by not telling her, but then ratted her out the second it was safe...? *About Starbuck in this episode--she spends the whole episode torturing Leoban, and hating him, and getting pissed at him and all the stuff he says...and at the end, she prays for him? This turnaround happened so quickly that I just can't see where it came from... Now, observations that didn't confuse me in the slightest but are worth mentioning: *Are noodles the only food left? I mean, seriously, on Galactica, it's always noodles. Now we see the food on a different ship, and it's--what a surprise--noodles. ;D

Interestingly enough, I haven't really posted there much since I got back...I'll probably continue to poke my head in occasionally, but honestly, the thought of trying to catch up on that board practically gave me a headache...and that was just an eight-day absence! Even if I devoted all of my freetime to the task of catching up on the sci-fi board, it just couldn't be done! This board, thankfully, is much easier to keep track of (and, err, less completely insane...)! ;D

Actually, it probably is that difference in how long we've been seeing the new board (as I can still see and read the text on the new site just fine, I just find the smaller titles of sections annoying becuase they don't "jump out" at you as much, so you have to actually may have to scan the page to find any particular section...Yeah, I know, I sound lazy there ;D ) that's causing my discontent versus your acceptance...Possibly also plus difference in our screens, as well as potential differences in how we usually view our laptops (i.e., distance from us, level relative to our eyes, lighting levels, angle we set the screen at, all that...) So, I guess I'll resign myself to the majority vote here and head on over to register at the new board....

Hmm. I appear to be the only one fond of the old board. Regarding the new one...As I said, my feeligns towards it could improve greatly simply from an increase of text size to a comperable size w/ this (old) board....Come on, do all us laptop users a favor... ;D

Well, my first impression of the new board was this: The Pros:*If we move to the new board, I'll be reduced in rank from Ensign to Specialist it appears... (Whoah! Talk about taking a career hit!) However, despite that, I have to say I like the expanded ranking system on the new version! The Cons:*Larger text--especially for the titles of the sections of the board, the explanations of what said sections are about, and for the names of the inidividual threads (more like the text for those two things on this board) would be really[/b] nice for those of us viewing the board off of our little laptop screens... ;D *I like the aqua color (against the black) on this version of the board better than the darker blue color against black on the new version. For some reason, I actually think the color sceheme of this board is easier on the eyes than the new one--it seems brighter than the new version (again, this may have to do with the fact that I almost always view from a laptop screen...) *I like the stars better than the new bar at the bottom that gets progressivly more filled. But that's just me Unknown:*Smilies: Would it be possible for you to put a thread in the new board where you showcase all the new smilies? (If there already is such a thread, then forgive this request and instead please point me towards it...) ...in other words, the old board is currently winning out for me, but a lot of that difference could be erased if you would please, please just equalize the text sizes on the two boards.... ;D I'll give a mroe detailed analysis alter after I get the chance to register on the new version and test it out for a day or two, but the tiny text--especially for section titles and then later for thread titles as well) makes me shudder at the thought of doing so....

In that case, I must unforutnatly conclude its' the firewall. And as I said, there's absolutly nothing I can do about that, so I might as well just stick to the board here and forget about the chatroom...

Grr. It doesn't appear to like Firefox. (Or maybe it doesn't like the firewall I'm behind, but if it's that, there's nothing I can do about it...) Anyone else get it to work w/ Firefox, or will I have to break down and dust off IE?
