You Can't Go Home Again - GREAT, but one nitpick Feb 7, 2005 0:13:54 GMT -5

Big Brother, I can't remember if you've seen all the episodes or not, but you'll eventually have to explain why the raider is responsive to some, while being unresponsive to others. Controlling the raider is not simply a matter of pulling the correct tendons.
No, I've only seen those eps which have aired on the Sci-Fi channel. (although if anyone wants to give me advice on getting them online via PM or email...purely for purposes of researching my perpetually-under-construction episode guide, you understand...)
If there is more to controlling the raider than yanking tendons...one MIGHT still theorize that Starbuck's natural piloting skills helped her intuitively send out whatever mental brain-wave patterns control the raider...
...but if there is some difference in biocylons that lets them interface with raiders, it HAS to have some physical presence in their bodies which a sufficently sophisticated examination would be able to detect. Maybe they didn't bring any of the right equipment with them when they left the smoking ruins of the Colonies, but given sufficient time they should be able to reconstruct, say, an MRI machine or a PET scanner. If they can build Vipers (as they will be sometime in season two, according to RDM), they should be able to build either of those.
The more the show claims Biocylons really ARE different from humans, the less plausible the inability to tell them apart becomes.
